Thought I was the one who had heard of Colin.

So no one going for Guy Martin then!!

Kevin McCloud is a good one, personally if its not the 3 of them it won't be Top Gear.

Brian Sewel

pros = known car enthusiastm would bring a touch of class to the program

cons = apparently he's not well, so wouldn't be available

Idris Elba

pros = has a proven track record of hosting a motoring program, ticks the BME box

cons = I doubt the BBC could afford him

Anita Rani

pros = has a proven track record of hosting a motoring program, ticks the BME box, ticks the female box

cons = her motoring program was dull, she's on TV too often

Nicki Shields and Nikki Woolmore / Go ballistic - Mirror Online

pros = both have proven motoring program experience, both tick the female box

cons = none - there we go, the new team!

Sabine beat Clarkson (in a fancy Jag?) around the Nurbrgring driving a Transit. She'll do!

And I'd hope someone at least tried Guy out, I think he'd be 'reet.

And if you think electric isn't the way forward; see this.

read this morning on one of the red top sites that Jodie Kidd was in the running for presenting it, apparently James Martin was winding her up about it on Saturday Kitchen yesterday

I can't believe the death threats towards the DG.

I agree there, I cant believe the threats about a program, but at the same time I can actively believe the stupidity/lack of intelligence of someone to make those kind of threats.

Do they really think that Clarkson is going to walk back into the BBC because they did that ?

Axed Jeremy Clarkson plans to make a dramatic Top Gear comeback in a matter of weeks – on the live tour Down Under. The shamed 54-year-old will head to Sydney with James May, 52, and Richard Hammond, 45, to host the show in front of 40,000 fans over two days.

However, after he was dumped by the Beeb last week, organisers could be forced to rename it Clarkson, May and Hammond Live or MPH Live rather than Top Gear Live.

Although Clarkson’s contract was not renewed, it is understood he has a separate deal for the live shows. Last week four tour dates in Norway were scrapped, but if the April 18 and 19 events are cancelled the Beeb’s commercial arm BBC Worldwide could face a huge lawsuit.A source revealed: “Talks are going on to try and ensure this event goes ahead. The main priority

is the thousands of people who have bought tickets.

“The feeling in Sydney is that the three presenters want to do it, thousands of fans who’ve bought tickets want to see it, so just get it on.”

The world tour – which has sold 200,000 tickets and is set to rake in £11million – is due to head to South Africa in June with other gigs in Belfast, Sheffield and London pencilled in.

Jodie Kidd or Sabine Schmitz would be excellent...

Clarkson used to be funny, but lately he's just got tedious, predictable and more offensive than I find funny. Basically like Frankie Boyle.

Those two have my vote along with Colin Furze

Ha, i love Colin Furze!

Agree with all the above but throw in Guy Martin too.

Idris Elba

pros = has a proven track record of hosting a motoring program, ticks the BME box

cons = I doubt the BBC could afford him

:hand:

Love in Idris Elba as an actor but he was awful in those motoring shows he did. He just came across as arrogant and with something to prove while lacking much actual knowledge about cars etc.
