How many schools will still be using Server 2003 after the 14th July?

I still have 3 domain controllers running Server 2003, moving them to 2008 next week. Unfortunately due to old hardware I can't go any higher with Microsoft no longer supporting 32bit hardware. At some point they will be replaced, when the budget allows... Edited March 30, 2015 by Bste93

Haven't been running 2003 for about two years now. I've only got about 3 2008 servers running too! And I'm in the process of replacing those at the moment.

At one school i work at there sims server is still 2003 and i can not upgradeit till the 6 weeks holidays as that is the only time the school is not going to be using it

We have two boxes that sit there as file repositories. No network or internet access. After next year they'll be wiped if no-one has missed the files they hold.

Once we get a fully redundant link to the Internet and properly sorted out ADFS so staff can access from outside I'm thinking this is the way we will go, won't be for a few years yet though.

 

Students are already on Office365 but many use their own email accounts email for staff I think is just too critical for our organisation to move without the proper infrastructure/setup in place.

@Davit2005 - Does you internet go down a lot then? I've said it before, my power has been out more then my broadband. As for ADFS, wouldn't that be easier then setting up and maintaining a whole Exchange infrastructure. Just a thought.

Not often but if we have ADFS set up and users are trying to access Office365 externally and can't. But agree that it will be easier than managing an internal Exchange , updates etc.

We're not a school, and like you state we run 2003 still (I think we are down to our last 5-10 2003 Servers though) 600+ are now Windows 2008R2 as a minimum
