Nice. My aim is to lose the 2" from around my waist which has appeared... hah! I really can't focus on weight because I am stupidly heavy for my height!

If I have carbs it's brown rice, brown pasta, brown bread or sweet potato.

Gonna have a look for that pulled pork shoulder though... I got some ribs from Tesco the other day, had them last night and they were delicious!

I try to cut down on carbs but I have not found a breakfast that fills me up yet. I seem OK at lunch with fruit, yogurt and a bit of cheese but breakfast is a problem

Also, being a veggie, it is harder to sort out a carb free main meal as you can't just have a chunk of protein and veg really.

Hah! Can't imagine me looking or feeling healthy at 47kg though :-/

47kg is light, even if you're small 47kg is light.

I hadnt actually checked mine in a while so i thought id have a look and can officially announce that i'm no longer obese (just) yay!

Blimey - I thought getting a result of 35 was good!

I haven't weighed myself in 10 years. I think weight isn't the best thing to judge your fitness etc by. Obviously it is not a good idea to be hugely overweight but I would rather be fit and plump than skinny and unhealthy.

(I'm not plump, nor skinny BTW!)

According to the BMI thing I am at the higher end of a healthy weight for my height and my BMI is 23

It's all muscle, I tell you :)

I've had a change in routine recently too and have lost a good few lbs so far.

My diet currently:

Breakfast = Small bowl of Proteiny Granola followed by a pre workout on the way to the gym.

Second breakfast (once I arrive at my desk) = Banana and protein shake

Lunch = Good serving of salad, coldslaw and pork (Tesco Pulled Pork shoulder £6, cook it on Sunday and makes about 4 portions for the week each with about 40g proteiny goodness - tasty too and a bargain!)

Afternoon Snack = Protein Bar, some other fruit and/or yoghurt

Tea = Whatever we fancy however currently either avoiding the carbs entirely or sticking with Sweet Potato.

Snack = Yoghurt

Not entirely sure on the Macros or the overall Calories but definitely in a caloric deficit as the weight is dropping off. Protein is still really high and still lifting 5 times a week to make sure i don't just disintegrate entirely!

Plan to keep going for another couple of weeks, no set goal weight wise really just going to stick to it until i get bored. Oddly my strength hasn't suffered all that much, put up the 38kg dumbbells for 3x8 reps shoulder press over the weekend which is a best for me so happy days!

Sounds like you know your stuff ;)

The best thing about understanding your "macros" is that you can actually eat as much as you want, it just needs to be of the correct foods.

Small regular meals are always better than large meals, or starving yourself.

Kick boxing last night, doing 30 second bouts of the hardest punches you can throw with 1 min rest between. Jab cross jab cross jab cross... It felt awesome to throwing that energy out, but damn my left shoulder hurts today. Eventually it was hard just to keep my fighting stance! Good fun.

Did my last session of 'Spartan Warriors' last night and came out with 29 extra reps on the fitness test somehow... Also my weight was the same as when I started and my body fat had gone from 33.3 to 33.2 although I'm not quite sure the machine things was accurate!!

I've been bummed out the last couple of weeks because my home scales have said 65kg... last night on the gym scales 62kg! Soooooooo that's good, means I only have to lose another kilo or two and not five!

I've been clean eating for the last few days. It's really hard when you have a skinny husband who is all like... LET'S GET KFC!! I've resisted though (although it feels like a lifetime). I made some 'healthy fudge' last night Healthy Peanut Butter Fudge - {NO butter or corn syrup!} and I've brought a piece today as a snack... keeps my sweet tooth in check!

Sounds tasty. I am going to try this with almond butter......and maybe another batch with some PB and a little bit of raw cacao powder :)

I also plan on making 'healthy' caramel slice later. I will report back on how it is when I have attempted to work my magic in the kitchen!

I am also experimenting with healthy flapjacks but even though they taste good, they all have this weird consistency, like cardboard. This healthy fudge has given me an idea though.....watch this space.....

Check out that website... there are loads of things like that on there. I really need to find me a bit more time and experiment with stuff like that. I might spend a couple of hours at the weekend baking healthy snacks.

Hmmm. Looks great but still lots of sugar in some of them

Started my "healthy" phase yesterday. Have booked a hol for August and would really like to lose a few pounds - if only because I can eat like a horse while away and not come back hugely overweight.

Still struggling to find low carb veggie recipes that actually fill me up. One day in, forever to go :(

I will have a proper look when I get home tonight....

I love the Deliciously Ella blog (and book) Deliciously Ella I think I may have linked to this before.

I like taking her ideas as inspiration and making up my own healthy recipes. I made some awesome oven baked onion bhajis last week bound together with sweet potato instead of batter so they didn't need deep frying. I think when you make something healthy it can potentially taste even better...although there are often many disasters on the way to perfection.

I just can't be bothered to cook for myself, and if I do, and make more than one portion of something yummy, I tend to..just..eat it all :(

mrwITch is a complete carnivore - only eats red meat and potato, really (and he is one of the healthiest people I know !!) so I don't get to cook for both of us very often. I also struggle because lots of veggie stuff is highly spiced or flavoured and I don't like it!

Cooking veggie stuff is a nightmare! it's also really hard to not just add quorn or tofu etc to make something easy! I'm usually making risottos, quinoa salads etc and various things using nuts and cheese. It's just so much effort!

Phwooarr. my best for alternating shoulder press is only 30kg dumbbells, and THAT was fairly fresh and full of Grenade PWO. Not bad at all there!

Also strong progress going on in this thread! Nice work everyone.

I've still got my shoulder groaning away (weekend of gardening and car-ing) so nothing upper body wise for me this week as I REALLY want to get to Muay Thai on Friday for sparring. Will see how that is next week.

Weighed myself last night and down from about 95kg a few weeks back to 89.7kg! I did NOT think I had that much to lose but getting some ab definition back. Ho hum, if I have to drop right down to 85kg to be super-lean then I will.

It's KILLING me not doing weights and waiting on this shoulder. Abs and legs and cardio is getting dull. :(
