  1. Yep - we already have something but it doesn't pull out exclusions so hopefully this would be a huge issue. - - - Updated - - - Did they charge you for providing these things?
  2. @Sibrows we do have OneDrive for Business and the App. I work for a MAT and we want to export exclusions data from all of our schools on a weekly basis and upload to a central folder.
  3. Does anyone know whether it is possible, using Command reporter or otherwise, to export a report and upload to Sharepoint or OneDrive or does it have to be stored on a local machine? I have little experience with this so any help/advice would be appreciated. TIA
  4. @Mattjones47We are having the same issue. I noticed it yesterday on some reports which were working fine. Is there an easy resolve or should I log a support call.
  5. Bradford Academy are seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Data Administrator to join the successful and committed Data Team in a varied and interesting role.We have recently celebrated our tenth anniversary and continue to be judged by Ofsted as a ‘good school’. Having expanded our age range with Learners from the ages of 2 to 19, you will appreciate that this is no mean feat and we don’t sit still. We invest in supporting our Learners and our staff - we know that they are integral to our success. Bradford holds a vibrant, diverse community and possesses unique character. Its diversity reflects Britain. The Academy plays an important part in preparing young people for life in our complex society. Learners are prepared to be active participants in their own communities through developing relationships and understanding the importance of exercising their voice. We hold this dear and believe it to be a major reason behind our success. We are developing leaders for the future; both staff and Learners. 6. I am new to the school - I started a couple of weeks ago so I do not know the full history. I believe that they signed up with Progresso on a 5 year contract. There were a lot of issues initially which has affected staff confidence in the product so they felt they needed a change, in addition, they were struggling with being able to extract the information they needed with SSRS. As for why SIMS, they went through a process of researching alternatives and decided upon SIMS. I was not here at the time so I don't know the full details/ins and outs of why SIMS to be honest.
  7. We will have a project manager from SIMS who will apparently make contact with me in 2 weeks time - when I am out of the country... Hopefully I can have a chat with them on my return. I am not totally sure of the services they offer however I believe, after talking to a fellow DM, they will likely supply templates which I need to populate. I am also likely to have to export extra data which is not deemed mandatory.
  8. Morning. Following this now with interest due to being thrown into the same position at my new school. We are super worried because we have nobody on site able to write SSRS. The last DM has moved on and I have had no SSRS experience - I think I was employed more because I know SIMS! Eek
  9. This, I fear, is the issue. There is nobody here able to create SSRS reports so if it is not a pre existing report in the system then I truly have no idea how we will be able to extract it. This is partly why I want to know how Progresso will send us our data once we can no longer access the system, although we will need most of it for current students in order to go live in SIMS.
  10. Hi there lovely people. Have any of you migrated from Progresso to SIMS? I have a few questions to ask re extraction of data. To be honest, if any of you have migrated from Progresso to any other MIS system, then you may be able to help me. I have been informed that we are moving MIS, I was aware this would likely be the case, but they have a ridiculously tight timescale for the project. That aside, I really need to know...1)When you ceased to be able to access Progresso, did they provide a copy of your school database and in what format? (We know that the school actually owns the data but how that would be given to us is somewhat of an unknown.) I am hoping that it is something we would actually be able to use going forward?2)Did your access to Progresso end on the date you signed the contract or date you went live?3)If you migrated to SIMS, how did they assist you with the migration, did they provide reports etc. To be totally fair, I should hear from SIMS project management team in the next couple of weeks to ask this directly of them - but I am trying to get ahead due to the time frame.I do not want to approach Advanced learning support directly as we do not want them to know we are leaving prior to us actually having to give notice/not renew for next year. Thanks in advance.
  11. Good morning lovely fellow data people. We are in the process of migrating out MIS from SIMS to Progresso. I am trying (and getting there) with setting up templates and screens and I was wondering if there was any way to copy the colour coding from one screen to another. I have tried searching in the saved condition drop down but this appears to be only able to bring up saved conditions for the current screen. I also tried copying the screen and that didn't copy the colour coding either. Really don't have the time to spend hours working on each one individually as there are 16 to do for each screen...Any secret hacks anyone has? Thanks in advance
  12. Yes, they would need to make changes hence why a report is not sufficient in this case sadly.
  13. Hi All Progresso users...I am guessing there are not many of you but hoping someone sees this! Is the only way you can assign a whole year group to a markbook in Progresso by creating an ad hoc group which will require constant maintainence because of students entering and leaving the academy or is there a way to create a dynamic group or add a year group to a markbook? I need heads of year to be able to access a whole year markbook to review targets (one markbook will contain all target review columns) without having to look on a class basis by subject. I am a Progresso noob as our Academy Trust is moving us all over to Progresso but I cannot access their support help desk (although I have heard that even if I could it may not be of much use) as we are not yet 'live' but are building our system at the moment and have to have certain things in and ready to go. Any help greatly appreciated! Ta!
  14. I have SIMS marksheets already set up although I can easily amend these to work with 1-8 as long as I know. The sort of information they want 'NOW' as soon as results are out is not just headlines it is in depth (we are a school that is under a lot of scrutiny) and means that I do not have the time to set up a new and complex Excel sheet for summer results in full (long story but I have a lot to deal with next half term and will be spending a significant amount of time working on a project for our academy trust) although I do have one that works from my exported SIMS sheets to give me everything I need in a couple of minutes. But this relies on the SIMS calculations being correct in the first place. Just had a thought though - in KS4 I actually use grades to move things from the results aspects into my own banked grades aspects so it should not cause a massive problem. If I had half a brain I would be dangerous...that said, it would be useful to know what is going on.
  15. Morning all. Does anyone on here have any inside information on the new interim 1-8 GCSE points and new A Level/Tech Level 3 points and whether these new points are going to be attached to the summer results when we download them. I, perhaps rather ignorantly, assumed so, but the GCSE's our students took in Autumn have come back with the old APS gradeset. I spoke to our SIMS support who advised me to contact JCQ (as they specify to SIMS the gradeset they will be using), which I have done this morning. I will likely have to wait weeks for a reply! It is important that I know either way so I can manage my results day templates. As much as I would love to rely on the SIMS reports for KS4, in our school we have had issues with these not working correctly with BTEC and also, our LA and Academy Trust require both first and best entry data so I need my templates to be able to calculate these, which rely on points scores and I need to know which! We are not lucky enough to have SISRA which would give us almost instant access to the results data - we have to send away our data! I have to work out all the Level 3 figures myself. Aaaargh!
