Disaster Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Aiming for Div 1 squash and Div 1 tennis in my leagues and hopefully a quick 30 mile bike ride a week. That should earn me a beer at the weekends!
Patrick Posted February 5, 2015 Author Posted February 5, 2015 Ass2Grass!!! Was doing some perfecting yesterday in my PT session... I get frustrated in those sessions... stetching and foam rolling specific muscles until my squat is bob on... I just wanna smash the weights!! Suppose it prevents injury though :-p I've just had to strip the weight back on squats. My form has gone off completely. Where's your comp at?

Just a few days starting to feel the soreness but it is the good sore so I am happy!! Just using the cosplay for world book day as a goal and then just take it from there.

Joanne Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Thanks. I'm gonna be doing 1 rep maxes over half term, so should hopefully rack up some better numbers by then!! 1
north-ict Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 I do at some point want to start doing free weights but the gym is always Full of 'heroes' that just hog it there. When i get my own place will get some free weights. For now its just the weight machines. But i love the chin up and dip assist machine but 3 months out and i need to rebuild my strength and stamina.
Miscbrah Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 I can SEE that back rounding young lady! Bad! And that knee... Don't mean to be picky; I'm sure you know all that AND are working on form and that was a fairly hefty lift. Decent form otherwise. Couldn't get used to alt grip myself.

Machines are good. Can get a very decent workout on machines alone, and you're always certain your form is ok! Unless you're riding %machine% around the carpet like a Dyson. And if ppl do hog equipment just wait until they finish a set and ask if they can give you a nudge when they're done on %implement%. International chest day today. Gonna get them pecs REKT m8. Joanne Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Well spotted on the knee hahahah!!! Yeah I have a PT who watches my form... he wasn't filming that video though. That was back in November!
featured_spectre Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 For anyone that wants a weight loss spreadsheet, let me know. I have one that is geared for me, but can remove all info and make it suitable for you It has milestones such as half stone markers from 0.5st to 14st, and 10% weightloss marker, etc It takes things such as your height, weight, gives you a BMI target, expected weight loss dates etc. Has a weight record covering 100 weeks, weekly average loss etc Anyone interested?

BMI!!!! AAARRGGHHHHHHH!!!!! One of the stupidest measures out there. Better to measure waist, limbs, neck and chest instead and do it that way.

Better to measure waist, limbs, neck and chest instead and do it that way. Agreed. At my medical last summer, I was told that you should be aiming for your waist measurement to be less than half your height; forget BMI. It's as simple as that. Edited February 10, 2015 by elsiegee40
witch Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 By BMI, most rugby players are classed as obese! 1
