mikeprice Posted August 23, 2021 Posted August 23, 2021 Saw this randomly at Liverpool Airport a while ago I just arrived on my bike and stopped for a drink and heard some rotors spinning on a helicopter - it was there for ages and a minibus arrived and drove up to it a bit later it moved off and only then could I see it was military major problem getting a photo - the camera I had with me just wanted to set the focus on the wire fence!!!

That’s a Wildcat, a development of the Lynx helicopter. Saw one come over the park by my house a week or two back, cool to spot! 1

Bedders Posted August 24, 2021 Posted August 24, 2021 Got to Astle Park Steam Engine Rally this year. Was absolutely great to get out and about to events again My favourite steam engine that I see at most fairs here in North West England: This was beautifully polished and maintained We counted over 40 large steam engines in attendance! Even the mini ones can break down! 2
HarryMonkey Posted August 25, 2021 Posted August 25, 2021 These are brilliant. I do enjoy a good steam fair. 2
HarryMonkey Posted August 26, 2021 Posted August 26, 2021 I spent a weekend in the Solent sailing on a yacht similar to the Beneteau in the last pic. Fantastic weekend. Back on topic ... Had a walk around our local park with the camera club on Tuesday. I'll dig out a few images when I get a mo.

My parents live under the flight path for the planes which were bombing Yugoslavia, now those were loud! Going even further back in time, Concorde would fly over the house every evening too, also pretty loud.

ICTDirect_Dave Posted January 19, 2022 Posted January 19, 2022 Walking home from the school run this morning and the sunrise over Preston was particularly appealing. Quick phone snap but it came out pretty well. 4

ICTDirect_Dave Posted January 19, 2022 Posted January 19, 2022 Yep. This was taken from the railway bridge on Cadley Causeway looking South East(ish) towards the city center. 1

My dad is from Preston so he bullied me into supporting Preston North End so been up many times from Kent to see family and to watch the football. I know the view 1

There's definitely something about to jump out and dismember you!
