Ditto Posted October 31, 2022 Posted October 31, 2022 My latest youtube video with some of my images taken of Easdale Island in Scotland. Superb. That last still shot in the video is epic - you must be chuffed with that one!
JATSO Posted October 31, 2022 Posted October 31, 2022 Superb. That last still shot in the video is epic - you must be chuffed with that one! Thanks @Ditto, Glad you enjoyed it. Yes it turned out well, you never really know until you get the raw image up on a big screen.
JATSO Posted October 31, 2022 Posted October 31, 2022 Nice one. What was the drone you used? Thanks @HarryMonkey a Mavic Air2s it has set aperture of f2.8 so I always use one of the nd filters that come with it as the skies can be very blown in the highlights on bright days.
HarryMonkey Posted October 31, 2022 Posted October 31, 2022 That's great, thanks. I have a Mavic mini which so far all I've managed is to shred a spider plant when I was messing about in the lounge and hack chunks out of my leg when I took it to the beach. I really must get round to doing some video with it.

I really must get round to doing some video with it. I did the first try indoors as well just to see if I could get it off the ground, scared the life out of me when it started flashing and beeping. A warning to others just don't fly indoors unless you live in aircraft hanger. The mini is a great drone for around the urban areas as its a lot lighter and less restrictive in use a great first drone and I sometimes wish I had bought that first. The Mavic 3 opens up even more photography\video options. 1
Dos_Box Posted October 31, 2022 Posted October 31, 2022 Went to Clitheroe the other week for a mooch around and got this great shot from inside the castle (a Norman keep). 2
dobbyit Posted October 31, 2022 Posted October 31, 2022 A little break in scotland last week and visited the Kelpies at dusk 2
Dos_Box Posted October 31, 2022 Posted October 31, 2022 My latest youtube video with some of my images taken of Easdale Island in Scotland. That looks like a wonderful palce to visit and you certainly had the weather for it. Beautiful!
JATSO Posted October 31, 2022 Posted October 31, 2022 That looks like a wonderful palce to visit and you certainly had the weather for it. Beautiful! Thanks @Dos_Box We stayed on Seil and Easdale Island is just a 2 min ferry, no cars just a few cottages cafe\bar and community hub on Easdale. 30 mins from Oban by car.
simonw Posted November 9, 2022 Posted November 9, 2022 Nothing great but I like the results I got from my S10+. In order, Brownsea Island x2, Corfe Castle, Southsea Kite Festival. 3
JATSO Posted November 9, 2022 Posted November 9, 2022 I have always wanted to fly my drone up through the canopy of a group of trees but my piloting skills just may not be up scratch.
HarryMonkey Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 Ok, I have a question. I just posted with three images (from my iPhone) which all appeared upside down. Why ??
bald_pig Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 Ok, I have a question. I just posted with three images (from my iPhone) which all appeared upside down. Why ?? iPhones orient the image using an exif tag which most things ignore, instead of rotating the image itself
HarryMonkey Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 (edited) I guess I'll have to run them through photoshop and get them turned round. Interestingly, they all appeared the right way on Facebook and on my OneDrive. Edited November 14, 2022 by HarryMonkey
bald_pig Posted November 15, 2022 Posted November 15, 2022 I guess I'll have to run them through photoshop and get them turned round. Interestingly, they all appeared the right way on Facebook and on my OneDrive. You can normally get away with just opening and saving them in paint.
enjay Posted November 15, 2022 Posted November 15, 2022 I guess I'll have to run them through photoshop and get them turned round. Interestingly, they all appeared the right way on Facebook and on my OneDrive. There's a right-click > rotate function in Windows which has always been sufficient the times I've needed to do this.
HarryMonkey Posted November 15, 2022 Posted November 15, 2022 (edited) I've done both of these to no avail. Ok, lets have another go. EDIT: Nope, they all came out upside down again. I give up. You'll have to twist your heads round. Edited November 15, 2022 by HarryMonkey
HarryMonkey Posted November 15, 2022 Posted November 15, 2022 A few from the Aussie Pink Floyd gig in Milton Keynes last night. I really would urge anyone who is a Floyd fan to go and see these. 3
Andrew_C Posted November 15, 2022 Posted November 15, 2022 I really would urge anyone who is a Floyd fan to go and see these. No tickets left locally... (I have seen them a few times though)
