Saw Age of Ultron tonight - loved it and loved the extra comedy and one-liners

But did I miss Shield breaking up? And where was Loki's spear thing before it was nicked?

I do try to keep up but it is difficult :)

Ahh. Must rewatch winter soldier then methinks

I started watching Agents of Shield but got bored .Perhaps I will try again

You mean you watched it and didn't get that it was big time over for Shield!?

Maybe Chris Evans has the same effect on @witch as Kate Beckinsale in her leather cat suit had on me whilst watching the "Underworld" films. Something about vampires, weren't they?

You mean it wasn't just about Kate Beckinsale doing stuff?

Thor dies in the ragnarok storyline but comes back with the odinforce and becomes ludicrously over powered to the point he is able to destroy universes and his hammer is bound to his life force. After his rebirth he can't die...but I am praying they follow the proper ragnarok story line and have stark clone him into a cyborg, with hank pym and Reed Richards giving support.

And maybe introduce hercules and the Greek gods as well. Hercules v Thor was always a brilliant story to watch unfold.

I subjected myself to 'Left Behind' last night... The standard of acting through the whole film reminded me of the cheesy henchman's family scene from Austin Powers... Netflix let me down for the first time... :-(

The Nic Cage one or the original? Though I can't imagine either are actually good, I find the concept interesting/confusing. If only sinners are left behind with no chance at heaven, why bother to side with The Lord?

Went and embraced my American lifestyle and watched Age of Ultron at a drive in.

Enjoyed the film, heard some people weren't too keen on the ending. But i thought it was cool and sets up for some awesome future stuff. Very funny moments and one liners. Did anyone else catch the firefly one liner?

The drive in was interesting, we thought we had it well thought out with snacks and a blanket until people parked next to us a brought out full sized sofa's and chairs in the bed of their pickup trucks with take away pizza! It was nice not having to worry about talking/mobile phones, lucky the weather was nice though. if it raided it would have ruined the whole thing.

The Last Stand

An evil drug lord is broken out of FBI custody and heads for the Mexican border in a souped up 200 mph car that gets great gas mileage. The Feds are powerless, but luckily sheriff Arnold Schwarzenegger and his deputies are made of sterner stuff. A fairly enjoyable 80s throwback, but not one to rush to see unless you were already interested.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse

I sometimes give films a go because I feel I ought to keep up with what's piqued the interest of others. Like the first 2, this wasn't technically inept - just (unless, I assume, you're a teenage girl) dull. This time Bella really must choose between Edward (creepy - 100+ years old but likes teenage girls, pale and brooding) or Jacob (takes his top off a lot, moody, brooding) and most of the film is devoted to this despite it being painfully obvious which she'll choose. The trailer concentrated on the 5 to 10 minutes of action (when Edward's "family" and Jacob's wolf pack team up to take down a group of rogue vamps who are after Bella for some reason I forget). I claim false advertising! Avoid unless you are a particularly hormonal teenage girl.

Basically a description of Twilight in general :p except she was mid-twenties.

My partner-at-the-time dragged me to see the first two. Was not impressed. Since we split up, I haven't had to suffer the third. Silver linings, 'eh? :D

nooooooooooooooo.com - Perfect use of this link. Keep on hand for future moments of sheer hopelessness.

Kingsman: The secret service

Went in to it not expecting much and was pleasantly surprised, even with the stereotypical over the top accents from the London gangster types.

Blackhat

I thought this would be right up my alley but I struggled to see it through to the end, I'm not entirely sure who the bad guy was and even what the plot was, the film tried to focus on too may things and ends up doing a half arsed job with all of it. I might watch it again and see if it makes more sense but to be honest I'm not sure if I can be bothered. Die Hard 4.0 did the entire story already and better IMHO.

I was rather excited to find out that they've gone and mad a Spooks film the other day.

It's out on Friday, now all I need to find is someone to watch the kids whilst the Missus and I go watch :)

We're going Wednesday. Toss up between that and "The Age of Adaline" and the missus chose "Spooks".

Saw "Belle" on Saturday.

It takes some large liberties with history, but the changes make for a much more satisfying film. I'm ashamed to say that I didn't realise how reliant on the slave trade this country was, but quite gladdened that we managed to get rid of it without a civil war! Well worth a look if the trailer takes your fancy.

Went to see the "Spooks" movie last night.

Never seen the show as it started when most UK productions were static camera affairs that tried hard to have style, but failed miserably. By the time I learned that the show was actually rather good, it was too late to catch up. So it was just as well that this doesn't seem to expect prior knowledge of the show! Twisty-turny and with a fairly ruthless streak, it's an enjoyable ride. obviously the budget didn't stretch to Michael Bay levels of mayhem but it all looks quite slick. Worth a look.

Oo 'eck I've watched a lot and forgot about this thread erm:

Age of Ultron: Yeah found it entertaining. Was a lot funnier than I remember the previous Marvel films being. Did find it a bit crash bashey at times with lots of seemingly invincible people knocking heads together which gets a bit samey. Also I'm kinda getting a bit annoyed with it getting more difficult to keep up with the overall storyline. I got bored with Agents of Shield; luckily I went with my nephew who is a bigger nerd than I am so filled me in on what I needed to know. Also saw the trailer for Ant Man which looks great! :D

Oblivion: really enjoyed this and was good fun debating with the missus about what was really going on. The bit where Jack runs over the sand dune to meet the other Tech is a great moment.

Preservation: Group of people camping in the woods are stalked by masked killers. Terrible reviews but I really enjoyed this. Its not groundbreaking and its no Lake Eden but it well worth a watch.
