Office Music :-)

So I am on a rare day where all the SLT and the Exams Manager are all in training and technical calls are not coming in at the rate of 25 an hour with a technician down, so I get to stay in the office I share by myself (the techie team are in a different office) so I am enjoying streamlining spottily music on my lovely loud iMac speakers.

 

Just wondering what music you guys use to pick yourselves up and make your work go that little bit quicker.

 

As I am typing this, I have to admit, I am listening to Let it Go, but just had Turn Back Time by Cher and it really picked up, next on the play queue is Walking on Broken Glass by the wonderful Annie Lennox :-)

 

Time to share people, nothing can be as embarrassing as what I have just admitted to listening to :-)

I work in the IT dept for a well known cleaning product manufacturer and radios are banned in the factory for obvious reasons but banned with headphones in offices so people talk to each other although I don't know what's wrong with low level background music personally.

Used to listen to music at the last place, here I think it's frowned upon. So much so that I don't even put music on during the holidays now! If I was it'd be my iTunes collection, just over 5,000 songs and counting. Can't be done with radio anymore. @BKGarry, I see nothing wrong with your music choice so far. I can certainly find a lot worse in my collection if I tried. Was listening to The Lion Sleeps Tonite on the way home from work yesterday (and singing along to it).

 

I have a 30 minute drive so most of my music listening happens then. I'm in an R.E.M. mood (again) this week.

Well my music will be in full swing this weekend, as I am 30 tomorrow and will be going on Saturday to mark the event, and there will be a list of songs that must be played by DJs before the end of the night, "What do you mean you won't play Rocketman on a DnB night, do you not know who i am?"

That's genius, I want to hear it, make it happen! A DnB version of Rocketman. Don't usually go in for that sort of thing but something tells me that will work and might even be better than the original.

Have yet to find a radio station I can stand, and my workspaces aren't really suitable to play music in - plus I'm too idle to curate my playlists to ensure child-friendliness so not much music @ work for me .
