Sagima Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Replace two computer suites Reimage the rest of the computers Replace the PCs in almost every classroom Set up VLANs Replace Virtual server with new one Replace file server with new one Make main fibre backbone 10GB Setup new exchange 2013 server Not quite to the end of week two and I've started very little (basically none) of that as teachers keep coming in to have their new tablets configured as they appear unwilling to read the instructions either we sent them or just the ones one the device's screen. Had one in yesterday who had made up the email address she was using for her appleid as she didn't realise that she needed to use a real one.

Sam3773 Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 New head has decided to move everyone, so we're moving computers and phone extensions everywhere. Rolling out Office 2013 and Visual Studio 2013. Re-patching and tidying up about 10 comms cabinets. Configuring 16 iPad airs. Testing pool tables. This is my favorite.
clockend25 Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 We've got pretty extensive building work here over this summer, so we've been emptying out IT suites and all other equipment into storage. On top of that I've so far got this planned on top of the regular maintenance: Relocating our student support/pastoral/SEN teams to new offices New Wifi install. 15 new IWBs to install Laptop trolley + 30 laptops for our maths faculty Laptop trolley + 32 laptops for the infants school we support Tablet trolley + 13 new iPads for the infants Moving an IT suite to a floor below its current location
AJWhite1970 Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 Testing pool tables. This is my favorite. I hope you have the master key and not feeding 50p's into it all summer!!!
