Looking at this game, England are just poor. Sturridge is on his own too much. This 4-3-3 is not great, as many of the players are slipping so its more of a 4-5-1. England could run a 4-4-4 (yes, with the 2 extra players), and still look awful.

It doesn't make England look quite so bad when both Spain and Italy fail to get out of the knock out stage

Yeah, it's just the way they play that makes them look bad though :p

Our group sucked, the England game was boring and like watching paint dry whilst the Italy game was plagued by dodgy referees and Suarez chowing down on the opposition, literally. The little savage has until 9pm our time to submit evidence to FIFA for yet another biting incident, knew he would do it again!

Greece on the other hand, what a 90th minute reprieve! You'd think they won the tournament with their celebrations and the sheer weight that must have been on that penalty taker's shoulders. The goalie was gutted!

He should be banned for at least a season. FIFA cannot make allowances for him just because he is a talented footballer, what he did was absolutely disgusting and I'm sure millions of children have watched that worldwide who see Suarez as their hero.

It does have something to do with Liverpool because he's their player and it wouldn't be as lengthy a ban if he hadn't done it previously at Liverpool..... The fact is he shouldn't be allowed to play football for his country or for Liverpool for at least a season. If he is going to bite opponents he has no business being on a football pitch.

Apparently FIFA can ban him from all football activity including domestic leagues. It probably won't happen but I think it should.

At worst he should be banned from football...at best he should be allowed to coach.

Its not the end of the world. It is however the 3rd time he has bitten an opponent and this time on the worlds bigggest stage.

He deserves to face the maximum punishment possible as the previous ones havent made a blind bit of difference. 2 year ban from international and 1 year from domestic. Maybe that will help him get over it.

I thought that the Uruaguay manager, players and press comments were pretty disgusting though. Some even tried to blame it on the English press??!!

This pretty much covers Uruguay's response: BBC Sport - Luis Suarez 'bite' controversy: Disbelief & denial at World Cup

A heated exchange with Tabarez in his news conference ended with him claiming this was nothing more than a conspiracy against Suarez led by the British media. One Uruguayan journalist actually stood up and applauded Tabarez's answer.

The message from the players was no different. Uruguay captain Diego Lugano said: "You couldn't have seen it because nothing happened. The worst of everything is the attitude of Chiellini. As a man, he disappointed me totally."

"I didn't see anything my friend, I didn't see anything," said Diego Forlan.

World Cup Sportsday - BBC Sport If you go towards the bottom of the page they have extracts from some Uruguayan newspapers. I don't have a link but on Sky sports news last night the manager was saying that he didn't see anything and that it was the english press having an agenda against him. I'm sure if you google it you'll find the quote somewhere

I would think it will definitely be the end of Liverpool's title challenge next season. The club itself should make a stand and cut him loose, pay him off, terminate his contract.

The Premier League should start thinking about a lifetime ban. This is the third time. Once is an accident, twice is a coincidence but third time is a habit.

There are no words. I'm with Ian Wright on this one, there's obviously something wrong with him and he needs some kind of help. He can't have consciously thought "I'll bite him", not in the midst of the World Cup after what happened last time.

How on earth can you claim nothing happened? You can see teeth marks!

Yes, he justified it all by saying (basically) that the English press should shut up because we won in 1966 with a 'goal' that wasn't a goal.

A lifetime ban from the premier league would be a great idea. If a club want to buy him and let him bite opponents then let them but don't allow him to do it in the premier league.
