Just go to a proper burger place, Byrons and their Burgerzilla or whatever they call it will blow your mind out the door. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for except McDonalds where you are overcharged... I avoid fast food chains like McDonald's, KFC, Dominoes, Subway, etc. In fact, the last time I was in a McDonald's was 1 April 2007. Bought 'food' (and I use the term loosely!) for friends who were helping me to move house. I'm not familiar with Byron's or their Burgerzilla but I agree with the sentiment. There is a great independent place near to where I live that started as Little Pizza Kitchen but has now rebranded as LPK. They do the most amazing pizzas with really interesting and good quality toppings. One of my favourites is the Popeye - topped with lemon spinach and quails eggs. Their burgers are great too. They've even got one called the Blag Mac. Not just pizzas and burgers though, they do a whole range of 'proper' meals too. Have a look at their current menu. Mmmmm! Edited March 19, 2014 by StevieM

pcstru Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 I agree with sentiments, gravy and ketchup/sauce of any kind is very much wrong as I see it and a food no-no, no need to add sauce to sauce ! I think lamb, gravy and mint sauce, falsifies that. It is just soooo very right. My dad used to eat porridge with salt, pepper and piccalilli.

Come Sunday lunch, the mint sauce goes on everything bar the meat, which gets the appropriate sauce (apple for pork, horseradish for beef). Unless it's lamb, of course, then it's mint sauce on that as well! Actually, technically, nothing goes on the Yorkshires - they're saved to the end to mop up that lovely salty minty gravy that's left once everything else is eaten. Mmm mmm

Mmm mmm problem i have is that i can't help but eat the yorkshires first! We used to have this problem, now whenever I cook a Sunday lunch, it all gets whacked inside a giant Yorkie - cut bits off if you want or save it til the end when it's soaked all the sauces up! If so then I'm totally with you and agree with the above I was right with you up until crisps. Then I decided you were just plain wrong That make's it two wrongs then as I would enjoy that if it is branston pickle !!!
