Franks Hot Sauce

I purchased a bottle of the Franks "Xtra Hot" sauce yesterday, and I've never had such a let down in my life! I am a man who you could describe as a chili head, I love all things spicy. I thought I finally found a sauce that could match what I had in mind for a good sauce, and to my surprise, it was somewhat tame (although it was very tasty, cannot fault that!). I wish they make an extreme version.

Tasting as it does and as it is agreeable to you there is the option of you customizing the sauce yourself...

I'm quite a wimp with hot stuff and I find that sauce pretty easy to take I have it on my cheese on toast!

yeah, but thing is, I grow my own chilis (naga/bhut jolokia/ghost chilis) as well and make my own, but it does get tedious making your own all the time. Would be nice to have one that I didn't make myself and still meet expectations.

@Oaktech As it goes, yes I have

 

However the only one that was too much for me was the Pure Cap as it is pure capsaicin with vegetable oil (so nothing but heat which gets exponentially hotter the more you have)

I've got some stuff at home that my Mum brought back from Mexico, I'll have a look at that when I get home. I can only stand a few drops of that, It's a habanero/scotch bonnet blend.

Encona's hottest sauce is a habanero/scotch bonnet blend, however I see it as somewhat weak.

I used to be such a wuss with chilli but I've gotten better in the past few years.

About the only chilli I get in my food, though, is when I make spag bol (because it's so much more awesome with a bit of a kick to it) or spicy fajitas

Agreed it's not massively hot, it is lovely stuff though. I purchased two big (1 litre?!) bottles of the regular Franks from Costco for about £5. Goes on literally everything!

Im a complete pansy with hot food as in chilli / spicey. I would probably try a little bit but no doubt I would be like Adam ( or whatever his name is in Man V Food ) where I would have to drink a load of milk etc

It was just the 'Hot Sauce Science' part of the content that I was indicating here. The brand Sriracha wasn't a factor.
