How far do you travel to work?

Just wanted to get an idea how far each and every one of you travel to work.

 

For me...

 

Distance from home to work: 8.3 miles

Time taken: approx. 35 minutes

Distance : Just shy of 8 miles

Time: 15/20 minutes

Distance from home to work: 16.4 miles

Time: ~1hour down the M6.

Distance from girlfriends to work: 2.6 miles

Time: 10mins.

 

I much prefer stopping over at hers!

8 miles the route I take/5 the way the crow flies, anywhere from 25 mins to 45 mins depending on traffic. As I leave before 8am I am always in on time.

20 mins on a good day, up to 40-60 on a wet day when some twonk has a prang on the m-way sending lots of cars my way.

I'm the I.T for 3 different schools, so usually ill travel to one for the morning then another for the afternoon. The farthest I go is today ( Wednesdays ) which is 40 km... roughly 30ish minutes. It sucks on the days were there is a "catastrophe" at one school and I'll have to rush there... then come back to the school I was at previously... then leave to the other school again. haha.

Used to work 8 mile / 10 minutes till I changed job.

About 3 different ways that I can go but I normally only use 2 different routes, currently using a slightly longer route which I believe is about 20 miles and that takes me about an hour to go from door to door due to traffic / speed limit being variable ie 60 mph on certain parts and then slowing down for villages for a number of parts ie 30mph and having to go through an industrial estate etc

 

If I go the way I used to go then between 20 to 30 mins but due to road works etc it is taking too long to use this route which is a pita as means I am using more fuel to drive the way I have to go now.

Distance - 38 miles on a normal day. If I have to go to meetings (regular occurrence) it can be anything from 60 to 85 miles one way.

 

Takes around 55 min to get to the school.

24 minuets on foot.

5 minuets in car.

 

Changing jobs at the end of next week and have to travel further...

 

it's 2 miles in the opposit direction!
