Danp Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 It's our last few days, lessons finish tomorrow, pupils leave on Wednesday lunchtime after spending the morning at the carol service. I am finishing then too, off to Budapest on Thursday for a few days and not back into work until 2nd Jan. Busy few 2 days when I get back but looking forward to the break. What's your plans?
hardtailstar Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 Finish on the 20th, start packing for a walking mountains/hills holiday from 27th.
sidewinder Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 School breaks up Friday, working pretty hard next week, working 2nd/3rd Jan then off to travel the world for a year and a bit So quite looking forward to that!
rad Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 3 days off next week, back Thursday and Friday (which is half day) then 2 weeks off, return on 6th for training day, then off following week. January will fly by!
FN-GM Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 Kids go on 18th at 12:00. We then move into our new building. Guess what i am doing this xmas? Woo hoo!
teejay Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 Don't finish till the 20th, my parents arrive on the Monday and stay till Friday (if they survive that long:p ) and have Mrs Teejays side of the family round Xmas day, so it will be 13 of us squeezed round the table :-) Second week will be out doing lots of hill walks as now I'm getting down to a sensible weight I'm doing the Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge next summer, so seriously need to get fitter;)
rickjames Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 School finishes Friday but in till the 20th; have a few days leave left so I'll be done on the 17th. Home for the holidays up in Peterborough (eurgh) then back down here for NYE. Back in the office on the 2nd. I really need some sleep.
TechMonkey Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Refitting our IT office as it is stupidly cramped with massive desks in. If I can get hold of them, fitting a couple of replacement IWBs, few machines to rebuild and that is about it.
Sirbendy Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Finish on 20th, go home to family, go to see christmas lights at shrewsbury, visit my family there, apart from that kick back and relax, have fun with the missus/kids until we come back on the 6th.
mrbios Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 I finish on the afternoon of the 13th, take my son to a birthday party that afternoon. Then on the 16th go down to bristol childrens hospital for my son to have his cystic kidney removed (not going to be fun ), hopefully back home by the 18th or 19th if all goes well. Possibly back in work for a half day to install new photocopiers on the 20th, then off until the 6th of Jan Expecting a quiet xmas overall, thoroughly looking forward to my parents cooking as always on xmas day.
localzuk Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Finish on the 20th. Bus, train and ferry overnight on the 22nd/23rd (only 13 hours travel, to go about 340 miles). About 4 days with my parents, then staying with a friend until the 3rd when I get the ferry, train and bus back again. Wish I could justify flying, but the cost is ridiculous.
Earthling Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Finish here on the 20th, back on the 6th. School closed for entire time. Two weeks off w00t. I might be in 23rd/24th.......maybe......if I feel like it or something crops up. Lots of sleeping late, indulgence, grandkids, indulgence, toys, more indulgence, then probably a couple of days of Destroy-It-Yourself at home before we go back in January. Then it's all downhill. That's what I always think when we go back in January. Midwinter passed, days getting lighter, weather getting warmer, short, short term until Easter, then it's all over for another year, basically. Roll on July
SovietRussia Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Finish on the 19th - nothing much planned, sleeping, eating and family.
ButterflyMoon Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Finish 20th then chill out a few days before big red on the 25th and dinner with my aunt and uncle. Heading off on Hogmanay till the 2nd up in Borders Forest Park with the vans to spend new year there Then finally back to work the 6th
HarryMonkey Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Finish around lunchtime on the 24th, back in on the 2nd. School's shut on the 27th so we've all been told we have to book a day's holiday for that day anyway so I'm taking the Monday and Tuesday off as well.
