Gatt Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 Oh and System Center 2012 R2 has been released today as well (Seeing it on TechNet) 2
tech_guy Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 I've got a Windows 8 laptop at home downloading/updating now but not showing on work devices - probably the issue outlined above
Norphy Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 Those of you running KMS servers will want this update (Assuming you're not running KMS on 2012 R2 anyway) Update adds support for Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 R2 clients to Windows Server 2008, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows 8, and Windows Server 2012 KMS hosts
sted Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 Those of you running KMS servers will want this update (Assuming you're not running KMS on 2012 R2 anyway) Update adds support for Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 R2 clients to Windows Server 2008, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows 8, and Windows Server 2012 KMS hosts but the server version is only any use if you also have a 2012r2 key grr so i suspect i will have to move kms to a 8.1vm
Jamoire Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 Oh and System Center 2012 R2 has been released today as well (Seeing it on TechNet) Thanks, is on Volume Licensing site as well.

PeggleStar Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 For those of you that cannot see the update in the store if you type wsreset in Run, this resets the store cache and then the update should display 4
detjo Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 DeployStudio is supposed to be able to do it. Thanks, @Norphy .. I'll have a look at that
detjo Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 I think the whole world is downloading Windows 8.1 - internet is sooo slow on everything! Even iTunes! (So maybe West coast of USA has been hit hard)

Rawns Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 Mine is installed. And then its tell me there is updates (even thou I had done all the updates)! lol! Mine installed and said it needed a reboot. Hit OK and it's not come back up yet! That was 20 minutes ago too!!! Something for me to do when I get home I guess...
Dos_Box Posted October 17, 2013 Author Posted October 17, 2013 Mine downloaded from the Store and installed in just over an hour. Must have been lucky!
Rawns Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 (edited) Mines now download and installed from the store too. My machine came back online after 30 minutes or so, however my RTO software seems to have bee broken by the update as I can see my PC but cannot connect to it! Edited October 17, 2013 by Rawns
dezt Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 I've downloaded and installed on a surface RT, took just over an hour, i'll be having a proper look after work.
