This really isn't a criticism, just interested. Do you really think a strike day is putting your kid's education at risk? What happens if they are ill, do you agonise over whether to send them in or not due to the impact on their education? Again, sounds like a criticism but its not

Again, sounds like a criticism but its not Yes it is, we bashed on to parents how 1 day sick equates to % of teaching time in an options subject etc.. and how 5 days holiday equated to x% of teaching time and how detrimental it was. It was quite astounding how it hit parents.

Married to a Times journalist and with over a million quid in the bank is a fine example of yet another pratt who is out of touch with real life. He claimed over £10,000 in stamp duty after flipping his second home and has stayed in hotels at £500 a night which the tax payer has to fork out for. I would not trust him to run a bath let alone our schools.

Seeing first hand how bad students can be I can certainly understand the union's plight. I wouldn't want my financial stability tied to the success of someone who doesn't want to learn either.

Of all the teachers at the school only 1 went on strike, talking to the union rep she told me if they went on strike they would just sit at home and do some work. One person told me she would just go shopping spending money she didn't have!! So how does it look for these unions going on strike that no one is supporting the unions including the reps who would rather just work?!
Gibbo Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 I wouldn't mind so much if they were actively trying to change their role for the better on the strike days. Instead I heard reports of shopping trips and days out instead of being on a picket line or protesting outside the local town hall.
