cpjitservices Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Apparently there's a heatwave going to hit the UK over this coming weekend/week. Everyone be careful and stick on your factor 30.... enjoy the sun and have a happy.... relaxing weekend!! Good day to you all.
creese Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 I'm worried about my cakes surviving on Sunday on the cake stall. Might have to rethink my plans.
DeltaBravo Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 This is our summer for the year... It'll be snowing in 2 weeks. 1
creese Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Sun? Heat? What are they? All answered here from 53:40 BBC Radio 4 - PM, 04/07/2013
Modey Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Just hope it's not unbearable in the evening, don't like that!
featured_spectre Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 A nice temp down here (24C)...I am working in shorts and tshirt...loving it!
Pyroman Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 I nearly fell asleep in my van at lunch time, doors and windows open, reclined seat, lovely :-) Roll on this weekend!
LeMarchand Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Going to a friend's wedding tomorrow - looking like he picked the right weekend! May be TOO hot for some of the old folk, though!
Sunnyknight Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Ah, the girls in their summer dresses...... 2nd this !!!!
tmcd35 Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Ah, the girls in their summer dresses...... Dirty boy. My brother (just turned 30) is worried about the current fashion for "denham thongs" (hot pants) - "must chafe". On closer inspection (watching girls walk by), I can't see what the problem is

On closer inspection (watching girls walk by), I can't see what the problem is I think you should take a closer/longer look. Just to be sure.

ADMaster Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Enjoy the nice weather, I’ve had nothing but rain the last few weeks. Just checked on the weather channel 20 days of rain since 1st June. The ground is just saturated, and my property has become a mud hole.
DeltaBravo Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Beers are in the fridge and BBQ is ready, perfecto!
tech_guy Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 [ Above post for the sake of gender equality and so not to be accused of sexism ;-) ]
X-13 Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 [ Above post for the sake of gender equality and so not to be accused of sexism ;-) ] With how hot I was yesterday, I wish it was an option. Jeans are not a good idea in a heatwave. ~The more you know~
AJWhite1970 Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 14 mile traffic jam into Bournemouth yesterday and people still trying to get back out long after midnight. UPDATED: Anger follows weekend traffic bedlam on A338 (From Bournemouth Echo) And this is before the 6 weeks of bedlam when the schools break up, the fireworks and the Airshow starts!!!! (I still wouldn't live anywhere else though....)
witch Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 Went down to the beach - Canford Cliffs - at 8.45am yesterday and was surprised at the number of people already there. Usually you can park up on the cliff till about 9.30. Left at 11 and the place was heaving. Absolutely beautiful though - Old Harry Rocks, Hengisbury Head, and the Isle of Wight sparkling in the sunshine.
ButterflyMoon Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 The balmy evening walks above the fishquay and fabulous sunsets over the Tyne made for a fab weekend
