Lets talk about holidays. They're great. I just booked flights for October/November; doing Boston for a week then work are paying for me to go Spiceworld in Austin for 3 days. Then onwards to Gainesville for a festival for 4 days before scooting off to the incredibly hot climate of Toronto.

Currently in that giddy vibe. Yeah.

Am going to Patterdale in July for three days, then Dumfries and Galloway in August for ten days. These two are in the camper and not so expensive. Plus Scotland we can get a few days wild camping on the way home :) Am hoping to get to Texas in October half term to see my boy and grandson.

I'm going to the lake district for a week in July. Yay...

Couldn't book anything more exciting as we didnt know if anybody will be at home to look after the elderly dog, and now, when it looks like someone will be here, circumstances have changed and we can't :(

I'm off to New Forest, sort of a holiday, only with some kids from school coming too!

Where are you going? I know some good pubs if you need to escape!

We do the drive to the south of France most years and have done so since our children were small. It's Uzes that we are heading to this summer. Mr Gee40 turns 50 at the start of August and the sun and red wine are his idea of a perfect way to celebrate the day. :) Mine too, but my birthday's in February :D

We do it over two days, stopping at a Campanile en route and have devised a pretty efficient method of getting round Lyon without getting stuck in the autoroute jams.

Cape Verde for 3 weeks then in October a week in Italy with my son with a couple of long weekends away with the lads to Amsterdam and Prague,

Could be going to New York at Christmas for a week just depends on friends availability,

Its these things that keep me going but unfortunately work will not be paying for it although they do pay my wages which pays for our hols so in a nutshell work will be paying for it after all hehe!

@rickjames: thanks for that! made my day! :D

We have given ourselves 24 hours, and haven't planned to stop anywhere overnight, we will catch the 6pm ferry to feed and sort kids and then drive throughout the night as much as possible whilst kids are asleep.

Quite looking forward to it :)

Norfolk. We have a place there and it's only two hours away. Can't cope with anything more adventurous at the moment.
