Alex Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 Exodus was good, but has a few issues - hopefully addressed by the 'Cold War' patch released today - brings in dreadnaughts freighters, outpost stations, missile changes - lots & lots of stuff. I take it you stopped playing?
tarquel Posted July 5, 2005 Author Posted July 5, 2005 Unfortunately yes.... I did enjoy it to a degree but it was just a bit overwelming really and I just didnt feel like I was doing anything lol Just doing the missions from the ...er... guides (or whatever they are called) but that was it (i.e. dumping garbage, taking on "10p warriors", that sort of thing) and being a busy sort in the evening, I just didnt have the time for it. Especially when FF XI came out over here, I had to try that and got into that much more - tho i only play it a few nights a month lol - so as soon as I started to pay for FF, I had to turn in the towel with Eve Online... Shame really but dont earn enough to play both "every-now-and-then" sadly. Guild Wars tho is another matter.... being no subscription - I may take up that as I played a beta weekend and really enjoyed it. If theres no subscription then there's no "having to play it coz you're spending money on it each month" type thing - plus its really good if ya like this sorta game. £17.99 - bargain (on Play I think as I havent got it ...yet) Cheers Nath
ninjabeaver Posted July 8, 2005 Posted July 8, 2005 Ok, I've went for EQ2 in the end. Got the limited edition off of E-Bay for £20. £30 in shops for standard version. My character from the Trial of the Isle was still there so I've carried on with him. Anyways, if you guys are playing my characters name is Aughard and I'm on the EU Server called Runnyeye. I'm still a lvl 9 noob but having a load of fun learning and playing. Compared to MxO this rocks. MxO is going to have to be cancelled.
StuartC Posted July 15, 2005 Posted July 15, 2005 counter strike source gets my vote, will probably be battlefield 2 when my beefy graphics card arrives soon. *kicks geforce 4* ooh, and my handle is Llama_[CloWn] if you are interested
GrumbleDook Posted July 15, 2005 Posted July 15, 2005 Done the Quake, Unreal Tournament and MoH:AA, but now into WoW ... I just don't get to play that much ... real life intrudes.
Inox Posted July 29, 2005 Posted July 29, 2005 Nice thread guys :-) I'm into EvE Online too atm, been playing for almost a year now I think, seen Exodus patch and now the Cold War patch. It's a great game with good graphics and loads of variety, but it does take a long time to learn. I'm going to start an edugeek chat chan on there in the next couple of days...would be nice to all meet in there n chat..maybe we can help each other out in game too ??? Depends on Corp politics though ;-p

Jake Posted January 4, 2006 Posted January 4, 2006 Mmorpgs are my thing really. Spent 4 years in Ultima Online (1997-2001), before moving on to Dark Ages of Camelot for a couple of years, then a very brief spell in Star Wars Galaxies, before finally getting accepted into the World of Warcraft US beta. Once I was into that beta I knew I would buy it, so when it released in the US on Nov 23rd 2004, I had a friend send me a copy, and started playing immediately. Still playing that. Still loving it.

WoW ... wow! (excuse the pun ... first day back and struggling) What server? What character? Are you in the "Paladins are a waste of time, why do people bother with them" posse?
Jake Posted January 4, 2006 Posted January 4, 2006 lol, Maelstrom server, on the US servers. One of those RP-PvP ones. Nah, I'm not in that group Every class has a place and role. Even the much maligned Paladins ! At the moment I have a bevy of characters on this "new" server. Used to play on Bleeding Hollow server (US again), had 3 level 60s on that server. Rogue, Warrior, Priest (all horde). On Maelstrom though, I decided to go alliance, and currently have a 47 hunter, 46 warrior, 32 warlock, 32 priest, 31 druid and 16 rogue What can I say , I'm an altoholic !
tarquel Posted January 9, 2006 Author Posted January 9, 2006 Bah - where are the FF IX players when you need them? lol Damn the gold pass thing :( ....*flies off*

DMcCoy Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 eve-online too. My character is Windle Poons. Been playing since June 2003 now. Tried to quit over christmas, but I couldn't I was in PIE for the last 18 months, but recently changed to Reikoku (yesterday ) after CCPs slow movement with the RP storyline. /emote waves to Gunstar. Edit for typo
DaveT Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 arrrgh the BoB forum whorage ftw, j/k It kind of saddened me all the BoB v PA thing, i respected quite a few corps involved, i joined blades pre Great Northern War so that i could hang with the corps i wanted to be with, then they all fell out and i ended up fighting against half of them. I tried to join the edugeek channel last night but it is passworded, could someone either let me know the password or invite me to the channel ingame. Ingame name = Dave Toz or Quenthos Darksin
carl_h Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 Hmm What online games do i play...lets see Anarchy Online - Lvl 202 Agent / 144 Doctor Matrix Online - Lvl 12 Kung-Fu dude CS 1.6 CS:Source JK3 C&C:Generals BF2 when Alienware deliver my new pc Used to play Star Wars Galaxies - Master Rifleman/Swordsman...and loads of others previously Legend of Mir - Lvl 30ish Tao
Simcfc73 Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 I've got quite addicted to Ogame.org which is a space empire thingy type game. Takes weeks when you start building and the top players have thousands of ships but its nice and simple. You can even play it at work as its all online. Of course I would never ever do that.
