Hi, We're changing our O365 licensing from E3 Faculty to Pro Plus Faculty (Free with EES). I just tried changing my own O365 account to the Pro Plus license and its created a new mailbox etc instead of just changing the license so I've lost my mail for now. Waiting for a call from MS... My E3 runs out on Friday. What do I do ?? Gulp!

Hi all, I have recently joined a school and it is my responsibility to ensure that we have enough licenses for all our computers etc. I was wondering if there was a way that I can check to see how many licenses we currently have for Server 2003 and how it works. For example, if I were to buy two more computers then how would I know that we have enough licenses for these computers? The bursar seems to think that we need to get more licenses but I do not know who holds our licenses - nobody here seems to know how many we have or the contact details of a company who may be able to help me (previously I have used Rameseys at other schools). Can I check on the server how many CALs we have? And does it work in the same way for Exchange?

Could I please ask for some advice regarding 'Named User licensing' for Adobe Creative Cloud. We haven't started using the software yet, but before we do so I wanted to find out other's experiences and whether anyone is using user licenses successfully. We are an LGfL customer and have 120 free user licenses. As per the following link I understand that users can remain signed in to the app on up to two computers and can use the app on only one computer at a time: https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/using/install-apps-number-of-computers.html When using the software on a shared PC (W10), are users automatically signed out of Adobe CC when they log off the PC? If not, are they eventually signed out of Adobe CC or do they remain signed in indefinitely? If the user forgets to sign out of Adobe CC, what happens when the next user of the shared PC logs in and launches Adobe CC? Presumably they don't have access to the previous user's Adobe CC account? If the user has left themselves signed into Adobe CC at home and have left the software running, will that prevent them from using the software at school? Is anyone using a mixture of Adobe user licenses and device licenses at school? Is there any benefit to doing so? For example using device licenses for student PCs and user licenses for staff? That's assuming staff are more likely to remember to sign themselves out than students :-)

All our Office 365 users have their licenses directly assigned rather than inherited from a group. Is there a PowerShell script I can use to make changes to the ServicePlans in those licenses without actually removing the licenses? As we need to turn on Microsoft Teams and School Data Sync for everyone now. I had a stab at doing it myself but it didn't seem like my efforts worked. Does anyone have any suggestions?

We buy desktops that come with Windows 7 licenses. But these are OEM licenses. We image our machines using scripted installs in KBox using Volume License media and our volume license key. When we do this, we are using up a volume license activation as opposed to the OEM activation that we purchased with the desktop. What do other people do to get around this? How are you taking advantage of OEM licenses with your imaging workflow and a variety of hardware being imaged? Thanks in advance!

Hi all, I am about to purchase two new servers to replace one old one that not efficient anymore. I want to ensure that I have all the right licenses. I want one server that will be the Primary Domain Controller with AD, data and Backup drive. The other server will be for Exchange, AV and printing. As each device will be connecting to both servers, does that mean each device requires two CALS? (I have already worked out that device CALs are better for us than user CALs). Also will each server require an external connector license to cover us for when staff work at home and check emails at home etc? Does each server need to have its own license too? If anyone could provide basic list of what we need then I would very much appreciate it.
