  1. What happens if you press the menu button - does the letter at the front change? And if so, what to?
  2. can you take a pic of the fixture? may give some clues as to what it is and if it's a 3 channel jobbie, or whether it requires something setting to put it in 3 channel mode
  3. We use PBXinaflash (which is asterisk/freepbx with some other tools), using Gradwell for our IAX2 trunks (they do SIP trunks and are usually quite competitive). Running as a VM with loads of extensions. We have Yealink phones and use the paid for endpoint manager to configure these, makes the whole process quick and easy
  4. So, just discovered this, and a brief search on here hasn't shown it up, so just incase anyone else needs: https://vpp-fulfill.apple.com/vpp/welcome.html Allows you to request VPP access to the free apple apps (pages, numbers, keynote etc) for the number of devices you have. I'd been cursing apple for not having the capability of pushing out the free apps from MDM, but it seems it is there

  5. That'll be another datacentre conversion project...
  6. Mouse doesn't work/Mouse dodgy (spelling corrected) English department
  7. Log in to my virgin media - my upgrade appears due by end of feb 200Mb (though we don't touch anywhere near that).
  8. savemyusb.com looks like an interesting one, and in the grand scheme of things, not anywhere near as expensive as most that I looked at. Suggested it to a friend's daughter whose A Level work was on a knackered stick and believe all was recovered well.

    Batteries

I buy JCB branded ones from battery force in packs of 100 for AA - seem to last well and work out cheap
  10. Any screws under the corner pads? Or maybe it's a clip on style, or HP had a couple which release with the battery locks...
  11. This is why every high rise building should have a DC in the basement... Think about it, massive increase in capacity for computing, you could have fibre connectivity to the building which is then resold to tenants, use heat from servers to provide hot water/heating as necessary, redundant electrical feeds to building. Stick wind turbine/solar on roof and some of the energy cost of the DC would also be offset... edit: also, apply the same tech to schools...
  12. You find me someone who pronounces Cullimore the same as Colmore and I'll either remove them from the gene pool or send them back to primary school... Also, the correct spelling is registered against his name, colmore.co.uk is registered against the company name...
  13. This is why I suggested offering a sensible amount, and if he doesn't accept, take through the DRS process - by making a sensible offer, and showing that the domain name is currently not in use (dump the zone file), you could reasonably show that the domain is registered primarily for selling in excess of documented out of pocket expenses for acquiring and using it - it's been registered for 16 years, so I would start go to a max of £60 (1and1 charge £3.49 per year) Just checked, doesn't even have NS on the .co.uk - so that's a good start
  14. Just whois'd it, nothing like his surname...
  15. From Nominet DRS: i. Circumstances indicating that the Respondent has registered or otherwise acquired the Domain Name primarily: A.for the purposes of selling, renting or otherwise transferring the Domain Name to the Complainant or to a competitor of the Complainant, for valuable consideration in excess of the Respondent's documented out-of-pocket costs directly associated with acquiring or using the Domain Name; So there may be a route through Nominet - consider what costs would be associated with acquiring a domain name, make an offer, if this is not accepted, consider the DRS route.
  16. Just wait until you miss a single semicolon somewhere and it tells you the error is about 30 lines further down...
  17. @bossman Are you having any physio etc for your knee? Drs are specifically targetting "obesity" so would be worth a go getting referral to physio etc to assist sorting your knee to allow you to do the exercise you want, may also be able to provide supports to enable more exercise. I've just bought a mini exercise bike for me to get some exercise done at home (not enough space for a full one) - only has a 2kg flywheel, so doesn't put a massive amount of pressure on knees, but can still get legs moving quickly enough to raise heart rate - also can use it on table top to exercise arms (which seems to increase heart rate quicker).
  18. My wifes uncle and cousin are heating engineers, at our old house they put in a Veissmann, at the new one we have an Ideal Logic plus, both have been brilliant. Veissmann are more expensive (purchase and parts), but their control seems slightly better. In terms of the different models, just depends on how big your house is as to which model - how many rooms, are your showers mains fed or electric, any additional bathrooms/toilets?
  19. "Style"? It's meant to be sport, not a fashion show
  20. Add me in... and out of interest... do they have to specially manufacture extra long golf clubs?
  21. @witch - I wouldn't be so definite on the age, our 2yr old understands why and consequences, it's more looking at their knowledge of language, their general development etc
  22. Census data prior to now, yes - LA have said that for Census purposes the DfE number is the reference point used, so that's fine. But when checking performance tables, this seems to have used URN (no data listed against current URN), so I'm expecting some implication with regards to Examinations data (be that in SIMs or just external I'm not sure).
  23. Hi, Have recently taken over some management of SIMs, and have discovered that our URN hasn't been updated since we converted to academy (October 2012). I've contacted local support and am awaiting a response. Does anyone know the impact, whether internal or external (ie on performance reporting etc) of changing URN mid year? Only asking the question as there's a pop up on the Census when going to run it (LA have said that Census doesn't use URN, but seeing as I'm aware I'd prefer to get it sorted now!). Cheers Will
  24. User -> job log, find job and delete (probably) You may also wish to set "max copies" and "max pages" on your printers...
  25. Can't take the credit (although I already had it set) - someone on here not long ago had a similar situation - they were seeing something akin to the 2008 Financial crisis occurring in their papercut environment
