Iirc the light is red when a computer is connected (so the board is getting power) and goes green when the software connects. I do remember seeing a few old serial cables with PS2 ports attached, so as Si says that is probably the issue. I'm sure the cables were pretty expensive too

Hey, Can anyone point me in the direction of a decent supplier for cable making tools? I need... The cable itself (cat5), rj45 ends, a crimping tool and a cyclops. Cheers

Use the whole thing. Change the red bits to suite yourself (if you need more just copy from 'if checkroom... to ...End if)

He said he was looking for a way to make a printer default - that's our printer script. I assumed he'd recognise most of it or just adapt it for what he needs. Does your current script remove previously mapped printers? (you could have manually added the ones without the \\server and they just aren't being removed/re-added by the script)?

Yeah, it's usually not much more to replace the projector, more of an inconvenience re-setting them up though

As for changing the bulb i'd assume you'll have to take it down - get the caretaker to help... I usually just jump up on a table though

Check which lights flash when it goes off and refer to the manual (you'll be able to find it online). Dom

User error Maybe drivers/an application is screwing them up? Hard to say without more info. Did you check event viewer for anything odd? Have you ever been down after it has occured to confirm that it is actually not working and they haven't just pressed stop? (yes, this has happened to me before :|)

Hmm, our connect.ini timeout was set to 1 (millisecond) - which caused the problem. No idea how that changed! Cheers for your suggestions guys - its fixed
