i cant get into the drive it did say something about i/o device error? but like i said before i used software that shows my files still on there

hey guys been ages since i've browsed the great edugeek forums...anyway to the point; i've been using a western digi hdd in an enclosure and recently its died, i used a demo of stellar phoenix and it could see the files on there, i tried using photo rec but stopped it as it wasnt renaming files and was hoping to find another alternative, i took my hdd to a local computer sales/repair shop (not pc world) and asked if they cld do anything, now they called up today and said hdd is dead nothing we can do. now im puzzled cuz i've got the drive showing on my computer but just cant access the files, now does anyone know how i can retrieve those files on there as i've got uni work on there and alot of other important utilities and music etc. any help/opinions/advice greatly appreciated!

try openoffice its open source software which is pretty much replica of office 2003 and its free!

we had a air con unit collapse off the wall one time...scared the living daylights out of me...and luckily no1 was underneath as its above the doorway to the other side of our office! was funny watching the systems mamanger jump and grab the small tv that was about to fall off the trolley it landed on

ur opinion would change when you play fifa 08 on ps3. the next gen pro evo is p155 poor! i hope the new one improves the gameplay gets abit tedious just run past players and shoot...fifa has abit more realism in the gameplay and looks awesome!

im liking the sound of the 256 online multiplayer shoot em up for the ps3!

does anyone know the easiest, simplest and safiest way to copy all ps3 data to a new hdd if i was to ever upgrade my 60gb one?!

agree, quality piece of technology! ive accidently left mine on over night and didnt make an inch of noise. you could always get a small pc with a graphic card that has HD capabilities and hook that up? my suggestion if you dont wish to fork out about £300 for a console you will hardly use and a blu-ray player which will cost about £150+ (not sure on price)

haha i loved the previous pes games but 2008 wasbloody awful!it was the ps2 version on next gen!!!! sorry but fifa gave it a big kick up the backside this year and im afraid will do again this coming autumn/winter:hand:
