Oh absolutely, I would always advise to take the lane regardless of where you are, rather than ride in the gutter. However attitudes by drivers towards this create dangerous situations. We need to encourage alternative forms of travel than cars, and make people want to do it and feel safe doing so. This is why physically segregated infrastructure is so important.
-
More often that not, the reason people ride on the pavements is because they do not feel safe on the roads, due to the amount of traffic, and the behaviour or drivers towards them.

Have you integrated the student accounts with M365 or Google? That way they only need to know their school email account credentials to log in.

I believe it is only for pupils who leave early or arrive late in addition to staff. I think the admin staff were mis-sold this feature when they bought in to InVentry.

All it takes is one hack to ruin you. You are still processing collecting and storing PII of students. As a company you should be modelling best practice. -

For the primaries I work with, the dinners selection & payment system is done through the MIS (Arbor), with the additional Meals module. When this was done with a separate system, they used Tucasi School Cash Office for payments, which has a limited number of MIS integrations. They do have to choose from veg, halal, meat, etc each day, and there is a variation on the menu each day.

If in Windows 10, could the teacher not open the Volume Mixer and just mute SIMS as an application?

Can you not decide yourself what noise level is unacceptable and make that announcement personally?

In the small primaries I've seen an individual staff member with individual students in any room they can get their hands on, ready out the exam...

Use the Twitter web part - Microsoft Support From this article: Important: Starting in mid-September 2023 the Twitter web part will no longer be available in the web part toolbox within SharePoint pages. Any pages that already have the Twitter web part won't be affected by this change, but due to a change in Twitter’s terms of use for third-party access, users may see an error message.

With Shared iPads, you create accounts & classes either automatically using software such as Salamander, or manually in Apple School Manager. Then signing in, Students just need to find their class, and tap on their name. They still need to set a PIN when logging in for the first time, but they shouldn't require using their whole AppleID to log in with each time.

Sixth Form Signing In for Fire safety

This is almost definitely a student management problem. -
Yes you could literally say you weren't consulted, the bought the wrong one and point them to the one which was specifically designed for implementations like this.

Does anyone else use TrilbyTV? Trying to come up with a good screen and device combo which doesn't cost the earth. Have one Primary school using it with Amazon Firesticks and standard 32-inch TV screen. However recently got a quote for a Philips digital signage display and installation, which came to over £1k for one screen! Any tips?

If you're adding a device manually to DEP there is a grace period of 30 days if I recall where the device can still be removed from your DEP. After the 30 days grace period, the device is locked into your DEP.

I have found it varies wildly by primary school & a common theme I have observed is that those that have never had a dedicated IT Suite, but used to have a handful of computers in various classrooms and the library, stay this way and usually have a lot more mobile devices and choose laptops/Chromebooks over a dedicated IT Suite. Those that have an established ICT curriculum have tended to have a dedicated IT suite with desktops. I also support primaries which have an IT Suite and additional student computers in classroom, and then class set(s) of iPads on top of that.
