I logged a case on supportnet and they sent me the link to the install in the end. It has a password so I can't post it here. I also needed to "Re-Register" Solus when I launched it, which again needed a password. The support person reset it for me and it worked as expected. Cool to get Solus running on my desktop now!

Does anyone know how to get the latest version of SOLUS3DeploymentServerUI.exe? The version on our Sims server is from 2013!

Anyone know how to get the 'click-to-run installer'? I don't see anything on VLSC even though the new office 2019 versions are listed. And I tried this link for the retail ISO but my license key errors out saying it needs to be the VLSC download (which doesnt seem to exist). https://techhelpday.com/microsoft-office-2019/#Office_2019_RTM_ISO_Download So I'm still searching for the actual installer! Anyone know where it is?

I was trying to avoid extra software, but that looks nice. Does it import from Sims ok? Or is there a burden to keep the records synced with Sims?

Still having a big debate in our school about how to track and keep stock of medication. Sims doesn't appear to have any stock control features... Is there anything else someone can suggest?

I'm trying to import my classes to office 365 this year and am recieving this error EntryStatus,EntryType,ErrorCode,ErrorMessage,JoiningValue,MitigationSteps,Operation,RecordedTime,TenantActionable,ReportableIdentifierError, Student,DuplicateTargetEntries,Two or more students exist with the same SIS ID in Azure Active Directory.,10960,,Add,9/11/2018 9:26:56 AM,True,10960 Does anyone know what DuplicateTargetEntries means? and how to fix? I've found this list of errors but can't work out what it actually means. Their explanation of "Two users exist with the same SIS ID in the source directory " makes no sense to me. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/schooldatasync/school-data-sync-errors-and-troubleshooting

Any solutions for Google Android TVs? We are getting a few of those soon and I stupidly assumed there would be some kind of app for it to work. Should really have done some research!
-
Thanks Yeh pretty much my thoughts, everything should go on Sims. Problem is our matrons want to scan in medical notes and all sorts. I think its a case of using the old system, and trying to fit it back into Sims somehow

How does everyone record medical records in their medical centers? and share that information with other users? Our staff want to buy in some 3rd party software but i'm trying to work out why they cant just use Sims or spreadsheet!!

Cannot remove default items from Start Menu using Group Policy
supportman replied to Callum's topic in Windows 10
Thanks guys, I even found a new Group Policy for the windows store in 1803 called "Disable all apps from the Windows store" which seems to work well. I've managed to disable the "Settings" app, but the label remains on the start menu. Same with Cortana and Windows Defender. Getting there anyway...- 20 replies

Cannot remove default items from Start Menu using Group Policy
supportman replied to Callum's topic in Windows 10
Thanks, but setting that in GP still keeps it on the start menu as far as I can see. We don't have applocker as using 2008 R2 DC's. I managed to remove Calendar,Mixed Reality Viewer, Voice Recorder, Windows Accessories, Movies & TV with the PowerShell scripts here: And with by turning off "windows consumer features" in Group Policy So now I am still stuck with: - Connect - Cortana - Settings - Windows Defender Security Center - Microsoft Store The Microsoft Store is the big one, not sure how to disable that completely??- 20 replies

[1803, au] July Windows update - borked explorer.exe
supportman replied to timbo343's topic in Windows 10
Another reason to stay on LTSB! I've found so many problems with 1803 already, it seems Microsoft are still changing internal workings of the operating system at pace. -
Thanks tried that but didn't work, I still get a blue empty screen, seems like Microsoft broke it in their most recent 1803 build! Unbelievable!! https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/1664b0ab-f1d8-4e60-8337-13f079a33752/windows-10-1803-custom-loginlock-screen-image-is-not-applied-until-a-user-logs-in?forum=win10itprosetup

This is driving me a bit crazy, i've changed the img100.jpg files in c:\windows\web but always get the cave image. Any ideas which file you actually changed? I'm trying to change the lock screen on our basic image, no group policies or regedits. Using build 1803

Cannot remove default items from Start Menu using Group Policy
supportman replied to Callum's topic in Windows 10
I'm having a similar problem now, I have purchased NTLite app and removed most of the things from the start menu now. Any ideas how I remove items that are left? - Calendar - Connect - Cortana - Mixed Reality Viewer - Movies & TV - Mobile Plans - Settings - Voice Recorder - Windows Accessories - Windows Defender Security Center - Microsoft Store- 20 replies

Current Branch is completely inappropriate for an educational environment as far as I can tell, due to all the bloat, start menu issues and sheer speed of releases. We deployed LTSB in another school a couple of years ago now and its been rock solid and works as expected. I find it really strange that Microsoft released an "education" edition that essentially didn't lock anything down. For that reason we are going LTSB in the future at this school.

Cannot remove default items from Start Menu using Group Policy
supportman replied to Callum's topic in Windows 10
I was speaking to a Canadian Teacher friend the other day and he couldn't believe we use Windows 10 in education in the UK. They moved over to Chromebooks a few years ago over the pond and haven't looked back. I'm currently struggling with Classic Menu or Windows 10 idiocy...- 20 replies
