Right, a quick plea for help if anyone can. Scenario is Elderly family friend is online (well not so much) with BTOW. Her homehub is no longer transmitting a reliable wireless signal, this confirmed with Netstumber for winxp, wififofum on Windows mobile, and my c905 mobile. She can't connect with a cable due to house layout. Phoned BT help on 0800 111 4567, they told her to do a hardware reset on the box (done) and still no joy. They claim it must be her windows settings. I talked to them Me: Hardware reset restores it to factory defaults correct? BT: Yes, but we still want to check software settings Me: Can you not just send an engineer? BT: I must check the software settings Anyone know how I can get a BT callcentre in the UK? Filling a lab with chlorine (electrolysis - whoops) and firing a water rocket across a room (Great Egg Race - I lost but in style).

Cross trainer tends to have low/zero impact on your joints, so if you're recovering from an injury or have known problems with ankles, knees, hips etc they're the recommended option. That's why swimming is a good idea to build muscle strength without impact on joints.

Kids here get a housepoint for being outstanding, but lose 2 HPs for getting an asterisk for being bad. There's also "Golden points" for when a class has been very good but no one individual has shone. Worth +5HPs to class total. Certificates are awarded at 50,75 and 100HPs I think. 100HPs = £5/10 book/cinema voucher. Seems to work well enough, easier to lose them than to gain them. Such is life. Oh and I think 3 asterisks in a week = detention at lunchtime.

Any particular theme? I use a homebrewed little framebased page with a java refresh function (nasty I know but I'm not a web-dev). Just allow a few teachers access to a shared folder on the host PC and they can update the photos it displays. Any content I tend to do as am still working on a way to avoid teachers editing code. Maybe some stuff from schooltube?

Well as long as it is the top destination for the best of the graduate crop no problem. If however we get all those that have gone into teaching because they can't find anything else to do it might be time to take cover / run for the hills. Personally I think you should have 5 years of provable fulltime work (preferably in the industry of your chosen field) before you can train as a teacher. Just a thought.

Ypu can package powerpoint PPS files for viewing on a standalone CD. This puts a copy of the viewer on to it. Does the show need to be viewed on the website or just downloaded?

Had no idea what you are using, but having just spent a good amount of time trying to get the various versions to work I thought I'd post a quick guide once I made it happen. Glad you've got yours working though, say goodbye to productivity.

Ok, under linux (Ubuntu intrepid 8.10) Download and extract the file from here to a folder in your homedir (I'll call it /home/%user%/o-ttd-data/ ) http://download.transporttycoon.net/files/ttd-graphics.rar Use the Add/remove util to install openttd open a terminal and run >sudo cp /home/%user%/o-ttd-data/* /usr/share/games/openttd/data Launch the game from the applications menu. Much easier than messing around with the OpenGFX and nightly builds. Right, I'm going to build my empire now... I don't expect to get much else done.. ever hehe

I chatted to our county helldesk about this and they said all HDDs with school data need to be certified as destroyed. I even suggested I could run DBAN or similar over them but that wasn't good enough... they want proof of data destruction.

Surely a lot of labels use youtube to promote their latest artist's offering. Seems to me youtube should allow music videos from approved sources and block everything else.
