Hi Is anyone else having issues with sharepoint online over the last couple of days? We are suffering from very intermittent performance issues when opening documents and is also affecting Onedrive. Sometimes it will take 1 minute to open a 32kb file and word will hang when trying to close it. Thanks

Hi We have 3 schools that no longer use SIMS and FMS and i want to decommission the servers and install a new SMS and FMS server and use all three schools on the same server so is this possible? Im trying to hunt down some really decent guides on how to install SIMS and FMS on a new server but not having much luck so part of me thinks it would be easier for Capita to do it! Thanks

Hi Doesn't anyone have any install guides for SIMS and FMS to install on a new server? we have moved MIS and finance packages to different systems but i want to keep an install of FMS and SIMS on a desktop PC just for historical purposes. The server that currently hold SIMS and FMS will be decommissioned. Thanks

turns out the firewall was blocking a url from VLAN 22 to VLAN24. Thanks everyone.

Actually there as as the sophos UTM does the inter vlan routing as the HP switch isnt L3. I will check the logs as i do a test build

Do you mean the subnet that the DP point is in or the actual IP address of the DP? Basically i have a boundary group of the remote site with the subnets of that remote site in it. I also have an IP helper of the DP sever ip set in the vlan of the switch (vlan22) DP is in vlan24, and still not working when in vlan 22.

Ive manage to get the deployment working as long as its in the same vlan as the servers. As soon as i put the client in the "Wired Clients" VLAN i get the issue. I have created the boundary group for the remote site and put the different subnets in that group but still no luck. Any other ideas anyone?

Ive just setup a remote distribution point at another site and when i pxe boot computers to build them, the task sequence fails when starting to apply the operating system. The message reads: "Task Sequence windows10 has failed with the error code (0x80070002) My other remote site and main is fine, just the new one i have setup. The distribution point is also set to allow clients to connect anonymously, and content has also been distributed to the new distribution point. Attached is the smstslog file but it cant seem to find any specific errors in there so can anyone help? Ive been trying to diagnose now for the best part of the day. Thanks smstslog.txt

Sorry to resurecting this thread but i have a remote site with only a handfull of laptops and no DP at the remote site. How do i get the clients to install the software that has been deployed to them? I dont want to put in a DP if i can help it but realistically is this the only way? i did add the subsets of the remote site into the main boundary group on the SCCM server but it hasn't worked.

Hi We have had to open a small remote site that have around 5 computers and the site has a VPN tunnel back to the main site which works fine. How do i get SCCM to deploy software and updates to the computers at the remote site without having to put in a local distribution point at the remote site? Does anyone know where i'm going wrong? I have added the remote sites subnets into the main site boundary group on the SCCM server but its not picking up the deployed software even when i force it on the SCCM client. I can ping all the servers fine at the main site so i know connectivity is fine. Thanks

Hi We have a remote site with a Sophos UTM and with a VPN back to our main office and i want to UEFI/PXE boot computers so that i can deploy the OS from the SCCM server which is located at the main site. We use the DHCP server on the UTM and i have set options 66 and 67 to the same details as our main office windows DHCP option 66 and 67, and i've also set the "next-server" option set as the SCCM IP address however when the computer UEFI boots, I only get a Windows Deployment Services (server IP: 0.0.0.0) screen with the message "Error Code 0x0000023 What am i doing wrong? Do i need IP helpers set on the HP switch? if so what IP address would the IP helper need to be? Both sites are on the same version of UTM 9 and both sites and a 100mb fibre internet connection. There are also no servers at the remote site. Many thanks

Has anyone managed to deploy core.msi through SCCM? Ive done the admin install of the original core.msi so it creates another with all the settings but when i deploy it out through sccm it just fails with the message Past Due - will be retried. Installing the core.msi manual through a cmd prompt works fine.

I have a couple of machines with malware detected on them and I want to know how to remove the malware using the SCCM console as I cant find where to do it. Im new to SCCM so still find my way around the console! Thanks

Not sure if this has been asked before but we have two separate organisations, a MAT and College, both managed by the same senior leadership team and IT team. Both have separate AD domains, Office 365 tenants and OVS agreements. To avoid managing separate AD domains, I want to brings the college user into the MAT domain so as long as the college has it’s own OVS agreement based on FTE users, am I able to do this? Not sure if I would also have to licence the servers twice, once for the MAT and again for the college? Thanks

We have a few BenQ screens and jut buy a USB WiFi dongle. You can download the InstaQShare apps for iOS and windows to mirror what’s on the device. The only thing you have to download on the screen is the iMirror app which is on the BenQ App store

Modern auth is definitely enable in Office 365 as it returns the result of True when the command is run. The GPOs are added asIE works fine so it’s just Chrome and Office when users have to enter the username. Just out of interest, what GPOs are needed for office 2016?

Just checking the config of the Azure AD connect and i have Password Sync enabled rather than Passthrough authentication. Does this matter?

Hi I’ve setup Azure AD connect for Single Sign On and it auto logs in to Office 365 with IE fine and OneDrive also auto logs in fine but with Chrome and the Office 2016 Applications users have to enter their O365 user name to log in, with no password needed. Does any one know why it doesn’t seemlessly work with Chrome and Office 2016? Thanks

Hi Im just moving a couple of schools into a single O365 tenant for email and Sharepoint and wondered is it better to create Multiple Document Libraries in Sharepoint rather than just a single one? The schools are quite small hence the reason for moving their shared areas to Sharepoint. Thanks

Managed to find what the issue was. The SCCM device collection wasn't updating until i manually Updated the membership. Just out of interest, how does everyone else deploy software? Im deploying some test applications out using the applications node but also want these deployed out on system re-image so would i add the applications to the task sequence? Obviously not all computers would want certain curriculum applications so would it be best to create a device collect and assign the required computers to this? Or possibly create a computer group, put the computers in this and then add a filter in the device collect to point to this group? Thanks
