Its definitely pointing to issues with the updates KB5000802, KB5000808 and KB5000809 . How can i roll back updates on clients that were deployed via SCCM and would i have to disable that update in SCCM or WSUS?

It looks like we have a bad windows update in SCCM thats causing clients to blue screen. How to i disable windows update in SCCM or ADR so that other clients dont update? Thanks EDIT: Looks like a bad windows Update https://www.windowslatest.com/2021/03/10/windows-10-kb5000802-march-update-is-crashing-pcs-with-bsod/ and relating to kyocera printers/copiers. If someone can let me know how to temporiliy stop the ADR/Windows updates being deployed, at least then i can save a few clients!

Does anyone know if Sharepoint can be use for policy management? We are wanting a system whereby we can publish policies to users and then they get a notification getting them to read a policy and then click accept to say they have read it and the system keeps track of who has or hasn't accepted it. We use Sharepoint so not wanting to go a buy a system if Sharepoint can do it already. Thanks

Do you hide it using a GPO? How do you hide it from the quick launch area? -
When did you order yours? I have had the spec sheet sent through by computacenter and TPM isn't listed.

Does anyone know if the Dell Latitude 3190 - Education - Celeron N4120 laptops from the dfe have a TPM chip on it? Im looking at getting them if they do have them so any feedback would be great. Many thanks

Hi Is anyone using PS People for HR and Payroll? If so, would you are to let me know how much it cost roughly per licence? Many thanks

Ive found the issue and its due the the "Allow clients to download detlta content when available" setting in the SCCM client properties within SCCM. I disabled it, ran the actions in the SCCM client and it got rid of those reg keys. Updates are now applying fine.
-
Hi We are getting a strange issue whereby some clients are not downloading and installing windows updates and have pinpointed it to a regkey that appears on some computers after a build but not others. the reg key is Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate UpdateServiceUrlAlternate localhost:8005 All comuputers still get the WUServer and WUStatusServer keys that point to our SCCM server. As soon as i delete this key, and re-run the actions in the sccm client software it will install the updates. Does anyone know how these regkeys get applied? Thanks

No dont think so. Based on when it sends it via email it isn't

On Bromcom it just had the fields to setup and FTP server and doesn't mention FTPS or SFTP. I have asked Bromcom for clarification. Is setting up the built in FTP server on server only FTP or is it FTPS or SFTP? Im guessing FTP is not not secure? UPDATE: Bromcom have just come back saying its only FTP as secure FTP hasn't yet been implemented.
-
Hi How is everyone else who is using Bromcom (Cloud version), sending attendance information to the LEA? We were just using the Capita One Export in Bromcom to send the attendance info to an email address and then that person sending it off to a person in the LEA however the LEA now wants us to install the Capita B2B Open software so that it sends the data to the LEA servers direct. The only way i can see to do it is to set up an internal FTP server so that Bromcom can send the data to that internal FTP server using Capita One Exports in Bromcom and then the B2B software sends it to the LEA server. Is this how others have done it? Im not overly keen on setting up an FTP server and exposing it outside of the network as ive no idea how secure that would be. Is there another way? Capita/LEA dont have their own FTP server servers either apparently so this would have been ideal. Thanks

Ive managed to get the updates to show in the software centre GUI and all three fail with the error code 0x80D05001(-2133831679) Does anyone know what this error code points to? Edit: Other computers seem to be fine and it only seems to be an issue on newly imaged computers that have had the Office 365 Apps installed. No idea why! Im trying to install the software updates as part of the task sequence by adding the "Install Software Updates" step under the Software Installs section but tries a test build but it doesn't install the updates. What am i doing wrong?
-
Cool. So how would I set it in the task sequence to deploy the updates on build? What’s the best settings for the maintenance\service window? I can then check to see what I have The reg key points to the SCCM server which also is the WU server
-
One thing I forgot to ask is if it’s possible to run the windows update ADR as part of the build process when deploying win10 to a computer?
-
No we don’t see any windows updates in the software centre.
-
Ah ok. So in your experience what’s it best to set it to? Also am I going wrong by trying to force the updates using the actions in the Config manager client?
-
This is where my knowledge is lacking somewhat so what’s the service window and deadline for updates and what would be best to set them as? As for Edge, on other clients, once the windows updates have been applied, it installs new Edge so I don’t think it is the PS restriction policy.
-
Yes Its set to required, the deployment is also set to the collection with the client. Nothing also seems to be conficting with GPOs either and the settings seem correct. Are there any logs i can check on the client when i run the actions in the client software?
-
Hi We use an ADR to deploy windows 10 updates to clients and i'm running the "Software Updates Deployment Evaluation Cycle" and "Machine Policy Evaluation Cycle" Action in the Configuration Manager Client on the clients but it doesn't seem to be forcing the install of windows updates on the client. Can anyone help as to why its not doing it or or how i check to see if its running windows update in the background? Im still quite new to SCCM (Endpoint Config Manager) so im still learning! Im trying to deploy the new Edge but its failing because i think the clients may need a windows update. Thanks
-
I've lost the plot! ha ha, sorry yes i meant PDQ Link
-
The actual system itself. I know there is an MSI that needs to go on the clients where as AOVPN there isn't but does PDQ link effectively do the same job?
-
Just out of interest, has anyone setup and is using PDQ Deploy? It looks a lot easier to setup than AOVPN but dont know if its any good?
