Yeah done that. Its as if SCCM is recognising that the application is already installed so doesn't reinstall. Does show up in Software Center either.

Hi Ive just installed and configured SCCM and noticed that the Inventoried Software node is empty and dont know why. The client is installed and is checking in to SCCM as i can see the client with a green tick in the console. Can any one help? Also ive created a test application (google chrome) and deployed it to a machine which works, however when i re-image the computer with the same name the application doesn't get installed and i dont know why. Do i need to create a package rather than an Application? Im new to SCCM so trying to get my head round it! Thanks

Neither do the actual details! and for two different schools. It’s at the very start of the enrolment process when you click on “Enroll Now” It looks like there’s an issue if it’s enrolled as the UK as if it’s enrolled under the US, it accepts the submission.

It says Apple School Manager has stopped responding. It also has a more detailed message but it wont allow me to copy and paste. Ive even tried making up details and tried to enrol and its still doesn't work and I'm on a Mac Pro at home!

Tried multiple computers, browsers and networks but no luck. Apple say they have been receiving enrollments from others fine though.

Is anyone else getting an error when trying to enroll in Apple School Manger? I've tried it over the last few days and displays the error after clicking submit. Thanks

So when the SIMS server gets decommissioned and i keep the old database, how would i access the old SIMS data? I don't fancy printing everything out!

Hi We are looking to migrate our MIS system to a new system and wonder how many years of data we have to migrate? We have 8 year groups (including 6th form) so would we have to migrate 8 years + a certain amount of years before in order to comply with data retention policies? Many thanks

We have two sites connected using Sophos UTMs (using a VPN connection) and users at the remote site often experience printers going offline and the only way to fix this is to restart their laptops. Printers are deployed using AD, are on a print server at the main site and DHCP at the remote site is done by the UTM itself. The printers go offline for random users (not all at the same time) about twice a day. When they are at the main site on the main network, its fine. Really stuck on this one as they can log in fine and still get internet at the remote site when they go offline. Thanks

In terms of setting up the new tenant, whats the best way round this? When you setup a tenant for a school, MS verify the establishment in order to get the free licences. We Do have a multi academy trust setup, just no schools in it yet. Would the best thing to do be to setup a new tenant under the MAT name then start to migrate everything? We also have some charity organisations that i would love to start using O365 and i know i can get free O365 licences with TT exchange and these would come under the singe tenant.

Hi Is it possible from a licencing perspective to merge several school O365 tenants into a single one even if they are not part of a MAT? The schools and college in question are all run by the same senior management team and IT for all 4 sites are run by the same team. Each school has its own AD but i know i could link each site, and use one ADsync. All sites are constant trying to share information and this would make it even easier and a lot of staff travel between sites. Many Thanks

Hi Our school provides the IT support for a number of charity shops and a community centre and i wanted to know what the best tool would be in order to achieve remote access to these sites. Each site has a broadband connection, one computer and a printer so not huge. Im looking at remote access software but i will need software that doesn't need someone to authorize the connection at the other end mainly so that i can run updates or install updates etc when no one is there. Each site is also on Virgin Media Many Thanks

I know this maybe a stupid question, but if I have a a couple of schools that aren't part of a MAT but are work very closely together and the IT support is provided by the same person, can they still share the same tenant? Their schools domains are linked to share files etc between sites. Not sure if Microsoft would allow this even though they use O365 for free!!

So did you create a brand new tenant (eg: MAT name) and move each site across to the new tenant? did you also have OneDrive or Sharepoint stuff to move across? also im assuming you would have had to move one organistaion across at once because of mail delivery?

I have 3 schools soon to join a MAT and all have office 365 tenants and I very keen to have all sites using the same office 365 system Would the best thing be to create a new tenant under the MAT name, setup each schools domain on the new tenant and migrate everyone into that new tenant? I was also kind of thinking about using a tenant of an existing school (that has the largest users and data) and move everyone else into that so if any one has had experience of consolidating tenants, it would be great to hear what the best way forward would be. All schools also have their own AD and have use documents in OneDrive We also have a free school opening in 2018 which will also be under the MAT so again will be using O365. Many Thanks

Hi I'm using the onedrivemapper script to map a network drive for user documents, also using the script to redirect the documents folder to the mapped drive . One thing I need to do is redirect the IE favourites folder to the mapped drive also but using GPO to do this doesn't work as the script obviously runs after the GPO has processed the folder redirection part. Has anyone else managed to to get the Favourites redirected to the mapped drive? If so how? Thanks
