NEW NEWS! Stawberry Activia Yoghurt is also unsuitable due to containing Geletine.

I will double check each machine before installing. Thanks

It goes the other way too. Although I am not a vegetarian, I am a strong believer of animal welfare. Yes, I know that sounds wrong but it's killing animals for food, I feel this is natural therefore I don't find it to be in the wrong (this is my opinion, it's not nessesarily correct) however I do buy, what I call, happy meat from a local farmers market. This is because I know, for example, the pigs have had a happy life rolling round in mud, eating what they want and generally being a pig, not a caged animal. Back to my point, however, my girlfriend is a vegetarian. I despise people who go "Urgh, what are you eating?" because she is eating Quorn instead of meat. I eat everything she eats when I'm with her, so I'm happy to have a veggie fry up instead of a traditional full english. And sometimes I actually prefer vegetarian food. Quorn Scotch Eggs are amazing, I prefer them to the meat ones. I don't understand why people have to judge other peoples food if it's different.

I heard Kangaroo steak is defiantly unsuitable for vegetarians.
-
I have heard that Australian Haribo are suitable for Vegetarians. Unfortunately I can't find anything on the internet to prove this.

So all UK Guinness will be fine? IIRC all Guinness in the UK and Ireland comes straight from St. James' Gate in Dublin. I went round the Guinness Storehouse Tour not long ago and nothing was mention during that. I would have thought they'd have mentioned it during the sampling section...

Vegans don't eat anything that comes from an animal (i think) such as eggs and milk

How is Guinness not vegetarian?

I was shocked to find out that Lea and Perrins contains Anchovies making it unsuitable for vegetarians. My other half, who has been a vegetarian for the majority of her life used to use Worcestershire Sauce on everything and is now truly gutted she can no longer use it. Anyone else know of any shockers like this?

I've been trying to order an iLife media kit, and our supplier is claiming we must have a license key to be able to do this. The problem is the reason I'm trying to order the media kit is because iLife wasn't included in my image which was pushed out to all the Macs. I'm not getting nervous that I might have to order a whole lot of iLife licenses. Am I right in thinking iLife licenses is attached to each Mac you buy as long as the Mac comes with iLife in the first place? Thanks

I've recently started getting into Photography myself. I bought a Panasonic Lumix G1. I cannot fault it one bit. A friend who has been teaching me has claimed it's a super-good camera and he has hundreds of pounds worth of kit. It was £320 from Jessops. It has everything you need, it's also classed as a Mini-SLR so it's compact and really easy to carry everywhere! It also has a super cool flippable screen which is so useful. I'd say it's worth checking out. Or, if your REALLY fancy, the Lumix G2 with a touch screen focus.

I don't see how it is inappropriate. I doesn't contain nudity or offensive pictures. It's not a website such as "rate my excrement", it's an innocent site. Facebook is allowed in educational buildings as much as youtube is, yet there are thousands of youtube videos. There's even some facebook links on here. So that can't be the reason! I defined it was aimed towards the college / university audience. Last time I check, these were educational organisations... Just out of intrest, did you visit the link? I would very kindly request you to reconsider this please.

Is America lots of time ahead of us? Could it be that they're doing it by US Time?

For stand alone machines, yes, it's great. But it's a bad thing because schools may want to standardise software, not have enough money to buy a full 30 Macs for a IT Suite one year, so buy the next batch the next year and have to create another image and image twice as many Macs or risk of having software that can't be used or supported on snow leopard
-
I think your right. I managed to install Leopard with a separate install disc we got with a license. I still couldn't image the Mac, but I rebuilt the machine and took an image if the new machine. This then pushed out to the other 3 new machines successfully.

Yet another way for a company to track what the people in the world are doing.. Introducing: iTunes Ping! I could be wrong, but isn't this just another way for Apple to track what music you are listening to? So now: - Tesco knows that I'm buying - Google (supposedly) knows what website I visit (the whole Google Chrome sending reports back to HQ) - Facebook knows.. well almost everything - Several companies know where I am going - iTunes knows what I'm listening too Soon I expect toilet duck to know each time I flush to toilet... I'm not usually one to worry about these internet things, but is this getting stupid. Reminds me of the film V for Vendetta

Now the 24" Mac isn't the problem. I have 3 newly bought macs which come with with snow leopard and I need to image them with an Art Image that I have had for about a year now. The image doesn't load on the new macs. Rebuilding the image again will really test my patience. =/
-
So, if I buy new iMacs that come with 10.6 I won't be able to image them down to 10.5.8?
-
yea, that's what I've been thinking All the iMacs we're going to buy in the future will come with Leopard or Snow Leopard on them so I'm guessing we wouldn't need the other installs...
-
we bought 15 individual licenses with no media, this is the same isn't it? defiantly wasn't a site license.

Hi All We're selling on some of our old macs which originally came with Tiger but we upgraded them to Leopard. In order to sell them would our license require us to downgrade them to Tiger or would be able to sell the mac with the upgrade license with it? Thanks
