it might have to be a complex password like E1usiV3 said, so it might be worth trying a password with symbols in it aswell

Im sure this is very simple to find, but i cant for the life of me think where i could look for it.. I know the workstation name and i just wanted to know if there was anything in w2K server where i could see who logged onto a specific workstation and also visa versa is this possible, or are there any tools available where i can get this information. Thanks

We have developed an access database which teachers can use to input pupil results etc etc... The database is stored on a share on the server and there is a short cut on the teachers desktop. Now we want more then one teacher to be able to access the database at any given time, but then they go to access it, it says that the file is open and that the database will be read only. Now i dont know if this is a setting in access or if it can be changed at the server to allow more then one person to open the database Thanks

there is also software called PCounter which i think does a similar job to Print Manager Plus, but again its not free product... I need to look into something to help with printing, currently use the Viglen Print Quota, but this doesnt work with all printers as it depends on the printer drivers

i would never use AOL myself, but my girlfriend uses it at home, and she never seemed to have a problem with it... but i guess she is not really a heavy user though

well ive just bought a new house, and i also cant get NTL where i am, so i would be interested to see what other members come up with on this thread!

well the problem that i had was, ive been with them since they started, so a good few years now, and my modem was old and coming to the end of its life, and they said this was the reason i was having a lot of down time.... so they said engineers would come and they never turned up on the days they were ment to come..... so they asked me to pay for a modem upgrade, which i wasnt pleased about at all... and that was thrown back in there face, along with there poor service to keeping to there times.... so i complained about that to the customer services and basically i was offered either the 10MB broadband at 25.99 or to stay on the 2mb broadband and they half the price, so i decided to say at 2mb... when u kick up a fuss with them, they do something about it, thats my experence from the past... one example... the council dug up the road and took out my cable connection, told ntl and they said it was up to the council to pay, which i told them thats not my problem... and then they gave me a date ( 3 weeks later) to come and fix it, and i said i wanted to leave, and believe it or not they were at home the next day...

i do wish england well in the world cup and i hope they win it, but i aint doing non of this flags out my car and around the house stuff
-
o right, im with NTL and they are doing it for £15.50 a month i think, and that was 2mb/sec and its going up to 4mb/sec and there are no montly usage limits. but NTL being cable i dont think your router would work with it, im not really that clued up on ADSL, but talk talk and bulldog are worth looking at though.... all depends on yr usage these days... lower usage you can get a cheaper package
-
there is also ADSLGuide which i have just found which might be of some help to you aswell ADSL Guide
