Nij.UK replied to StewartKnight's topic in How do you do....it?
you need to make an ODBC connection in windows to your access database file..... i think once u have done that, then it should bind with either c# or php Link below ODBC Connection in Windows hope this helps Niraj -

I think i am really looking for a quick fix, and well there clearly isnt one....

Has anyone implemented the above, is it pretty straight forward to do, or needs time to play around with and tweak??

Craig We are with EMBC aswell, and as far as i know you are unable to use P2P software, as it just wont connect.... I would have a word with the service desk if the students are able to get P2P software to connect

Im new to exchange and have just set up 2003 and as the clients am running outlook 2003.... Ive got it working well i think so, ive managed to get internal mail working and have got web access going on the server..... and i can get the clients to connect to the exchange box...... but only when the user is using roaming profiles.... As you can guess from the title, when i user with mandatory profile tries to access outlook the client gets and error and just wont load.... So is there a way to get outlook 2003 to work with mandatory profiles? or if someone can point me in the right direction..... Cheers

Ive had a look over the forum and i cant seem to find this anywhere Im trying to implement RIS on VMserver.... and i have got it installed and configured.... i have managed to put the base image onto the machine, and then all i did was install SP2 and office 2k3 and then riprep the image back to the server..... I tried to push the image using the standard SIF file that was created and i also tried to replace the SIF file with the one that Dos_Box supplied aswell and in both cases im getting the following It finds the server and it managed to copy all the files... and then after all the files have been copied i get the blue screen with the following message Now i know the hardware hasnt changed cause im using the same setting in VM.... it then allows you to press c to continue, on doing that.... it gets to the please wait while windows starts and then just hangs there Have any of you RIS Specialists got any tips? Thanks

Dell Technical Support For Business Phone Number Hours Technical Support Queries 0870 908 0500 8am - 6pm Monday - Friday is this what u need?
-
I am guessing that you were looking at this on there web site Dell website does this all the time, the price that is shows before you click on 'configure and buy' is the price with there standard warrenty, but when you try and configure it it up's the service contract. Ive just had a look and i think if you go to the support services section and then down-grade the service to 1 year collect and return, the price goes back to £329

We use Epson 10000+ for A3 Scanner, and they are very good and hardly ever go wrong aswell.... i dont think they are available now, but i would say def worth a look at epson for scanner..... For the Printer we got HP 5500N... its a nice printer.... and its quick aswell.... but consumables are a bit on the pricey side.... but one set tends to last us for the school year......

We are a secondary school, and i know for a fact that the kids here YEAR 7,8 and 9 get taught binary and hex, but im not sure what year they do it in. Its done as part of ICT ive never seen maths do it....

Have u looked at Viglen Classlink....... Just a thought, an alternative to CC3 and Ranger
-
My experience was the same as E_G_R, i had very little problem setting up the software from a technical point of view..... We ran the tests last year, and we use Viglen, and they dont support the use of rolling out software via GPO, so i had to install it on all machines, but i just put it into a ghost image.... The school still wants to keep the software and keep running the tests so they can level the kids, so i guess i still have to keep it running, i would love to just wipe it all off the server, but no joy there There was cheers from the Senior team at the school yday when i delivered the news though!!

Probably a simple question. Im running a 2000 Domain with XP throughout the site.... and i wanted to force the users to press CRTL+ALT+DEL before the are faced with the windows login screen.... Is there a simple setting in AD using GPO to set this, or does it have to be a setting on the local machine? Thanks
