Some good locations there, York rail museum is not a bad place, depends how busy though. Southampton, lots not far from there, New Forest, Gosport/Portsmouth dock area. Just missed the big boat been launched the other week. I'm looking at doing something similar in Scotland, want to do the North Coast 500 but needs a bit of planning that I don't have time for. Something I have seen is when the printer is installed if it uses the WSD ports is creates random issues, change it to a standard TCP/IP one where applicable and you will find some issues might go away.

One of the other additions in recent versions is the block release of jobs if machine in error (under devices). This stops jobs been release and held on the local machine if there is an error i.e. no toner. Stops jobs when error is resolved been spat out.

I'm after some assistance from those with contacts to BT mainly around phone lines. This is possible more aimed at suppliers but basically after flagging an gap in support procedures for major faults on the BT network concerning residential/normal business class users in say small towns/villages. This is to do with crossed lines which if just one or two could be explained but when you have larges areas of a village with the same and lots of elderly folk who could rely on their caller ID been their only source of help it becomes a major issue. I've raised concerns as high as I can but could do with someone who is willing to help me raise a point with BT and actually speak to someone! Defiantly printers only allow communication with the server VLAN then make sure all users get printers mapped and then they cannot print direct therefore bypassing any accounting solutions.

PFsense, use current router as a modem as such, create separate VLAN's then use Unifi AP on separate VLAN and then you can potentially put some filtering on to restrict the naughty stuff.

Why make them an admin, maybe its just users need to write to the program files directory where it is installed. Try changing permissions there and see what happens.

You don't need to send an invite, just right click on the calendar and add the distribution group on the permissions and set to reviewer or what ever permissions they need. Then said users can open it on their Outlook in their own time.

A suppression system is what you want, water will make things worse. As far as I am aware there isn't any legislation that stipulates you have to have it but Fire & Rescue are pushing sprinklers big time as they do make a difference and schools been one key place that lots of damage and disruption can be caused and sprinklers will deal with the incident all be it with a few puddles around. A CO2 based system is what you want in a server room.

That is a shame, sounds like the Toshiba. Can confirm Sharp can do exactly what you want as its a handy feature. Will see if I can find out from a friend if it can do it.

I use BlueIris, not for recording as DVR does that but for viewing its ideal. Not badly priced either and can have various systems linked to it.

What do you use to scan it in? Sharp have the facility that will let you do that straight from the copier, I can talk you through it if you have a Sharp MFD.

Although not in education but in public sector I run our account, will explain how we work ours, except we are a group with no funds and our time given so you get an idea. Ideally would use something like Hootsuite to manage logins and trace things but we don't have cash and only 2 of us have the login, me and one other. We only follow other other teams/groups within the organisation, some other key organisations and some key staff who have corporate accounts as such. Don't follow any members back. Anyone can follow us but if any suspicious accounts follow us we block them plus one or two other trouble makers. Have created a number of private lists so follow other staff that tweet but don't have corporate accounts or high enough status. I try to limit the likes but the other user is a key one for this, no harm and no policy set other than common sense. Will retweet key orginisation when key messages come out, we tweet about our group activities (all are of age so no issues) but try to keep them brief and protect any members. Use Tweetdeck for the odd scheduled tweet when I know I want to put something out but only me that uses that. Have created a brief description as a bit of a disclaimer for us and a few generic display images and away we go, changed the colour. I did prefer it just been me but then things got missed so I let someone else who is sensible do the live tweets when I'm not around.

I know a few people who have it, buy cheap and you can tell, I've contemplated it for my garden when I have a bit of spare cash. It does look good and looks tidy all year around, there is a few carpet shops who have started selling it around here in biggish rolls. Maybe one day when I win the lottery to actually finish the garden off properly.
