Not yet - only the 4 corner spots. They are the only ones I can reach at the moment. I am sorting out a taller ladder/scaffolding. I presumed I could just code the corner spots.

Hi @SamanthaD - thanks for replying. No idea where I set all of that. I can patch the fixture and allocate it to a channel/slider. But then nothing happens. The slider does not work. On this light - it's Channel 10 that controls the fader up and down. Back to the docs I think and training videos.

Thanks pal - I really appreciate the time you are taking here to answer my questions. I've read all the docs, read all the light instructions and am annoyed that the company that set them up have not left any config details. Clever really as they now want to come out and charge us stupid money to reset them up. Every document I have read and website I have watched just says to put in the DMX address that is given on the light and it should work. Clearly that isn't the case. With the 4 spots, I have added 4, starting at 221 with an offset of 10 (as all the docs say). But no - it's not that easy apparently. LOL

I'm still struggling with this. We worked out today that our 4 corner lights (Fusion Spot Mac III) have addresses starting at 221 and are 10 channel. So we have 221/231/241 and 251 (I assume). I have entered the 4 into the console and patched them to sliders 1-4 on the deck. I have left the 'Setup' screen - but the light are not working. What am I missing? When we turn the 4 corner lights on they go into some weird mode and spin, change colour etc - constantly. As it's only the desk that has been messed up, I'm assuming the lights have kept their settings. Gareth

Based on the video posted by @flipthebit - I'm looking to see if these are RDM lights. All fingers crossed.

Thanks @flipthebit - gotcha. What you say is what I've been reading. Now I have to get to the lights and we don't have a lighting tower or tower scaffolding. Argh Thanks everyone so far. Surely there is an auto detect on the board. Gareth

I've read that the board can auto detect - but cannot get it to do so. There are light profiles I can load in but I still need their channel numbers.

So I'm not mapping - I'm patching lights to a channel? I think, from what I've read I just need the numbers - for example Light 1 could use numbers 1 - 6 if it's a 5 channel light. The next light in the chain will use 7 - 17 (if it's a 10 channel)

Good morning all - does anyone have experience with DMX lighting? Our Drama studio has an FLX S25 lighting console. It has recently been upgraded to V8 of the software/firmware but in that process we lost the lighting configurations. Someone didn't take a backup. So we have all the lights, all the channels, but cannot attach the lights to the channels. There are three different types of light: ADJ ENCORE PROFILE 1000 colour, Spectra Par 12HEX10 and Fusion Spot MKIII I have them mapped out on papers so I know which model is where - but I'm not sure how to map them to the lighting console. I've read somewhere about dip switches which are on the lights - but again am not sure. So I'm wondering if anyone here has experience and can help? The company that set them up a few years ago didn't leave any paperwork or instructions. Cheers everyone.

I've asked for the 30 day demo but they are slow giving it until I say whether I am going to purchase and pay support. I cannot give them that guarantee so they are slow giving it out. Just had to pay £499 for our renewal. Won't be doing that again next year. No reminder either - just a big window telling me the licence had run out. What we need is someone to write a new version - copy the software and open source it.

The WJEC/Eduqas provide a portal where each module score/grade is broken down. I'm sure other exam boards must do the same. In addition to individual component marks it also breaks down further to show you what marks were gained where - and if you really like to drill further, you get B/G comparisons, school/national comparisons for each question. Item Level data the WJEC call it. All the data they can use to beat you with if a child fails. 😉 Gareth

Hi @Jaan - We decided as a school to purchase in instead of relying on free tools. We use a company called Sendible (Sendible: Social Media Management Software) - it works well for us. We also have a conduit member of staff who posts. It's not open to everyone to post as they want. Gareth

Bringing this one to a close - it is possible, but only before you add your extra data fields (such as assessment data). We had our 6 main fields but forgot to add 'Student ID' - so I wanted to add this at the end. Bromcom would not let me, so I deleted all 245 pieces of assessment data fields, then added 'Student ID' and then re-added the 245 extra back in. This let me have 252 - which is above the 200 Bromcom gives in an error message. So it can be done - just in a strange way. Gareth

@bobsmith - Yes, we are LEA procured so everything goes through them. They are just so busy that I get a bit frustrated. We managed to get a Teams call in today and by talking to them I managed to work out the best way of doing what we want. Which is.... 1 massive table with fixed size rows that pushes each part of the table across into a new page. This was the first step - but full rows with headers in were still being left behind. So idea number two - copy a field that was being used and place it in a row where here was a heading (and change the colour to white). Then when that field was empty, it hid the row. Magic - that worked. So I spent time putting fields into rows that they had no business being in. All in all - a silly way of doing things but it works now. @Bromcom_John - I'd really like to speak to someone about this if possible (not put it in the ideas section). It's been flagged a few times in the Community. GJE

Hi Bob - a CSM? Would that be Customer Service Manager? We have not been given access to Bromcom (from what I know) and all support queries have to go through the LEA. I have reached out to @Bromcom_John and he has come back to me with the docs (that I have followed) - but it is not working. The report works as designed I think - in that it deletes tables that are not needed, but it is then leaving a blank page. I think this is because it sees the Word page break as that page is being used so keeps the blank page in there. In SIMS we could use <<Report Section> and <</Report Section>> and it would delete any blank pages even if there were page breaks. I just don't know who to ask about this and am at a loss.

Thanks mate - seems a bit stupid really the way they have done it. Never mind - they can all go through a Magic link. This is how I trialled it with one student - but it all seems a bit dull if the website version lets them use Microsoft 365 as the service and has a button there for it.

Afternoon Everyone, When using the Bromcom student app, could I ask if you could check to see what your pupils see? We have been told the app should look like the website (vle.bromcomcloud.com) and offer a Microsoft 365 logon. Yet when we load the app on either iPhone or Android, that option does not appear. Pupil emails have been imported to Bromcom and the SSO option switched on - but still no Microsoft option on the app. Cheers Gareth
