# In that case can you try installing a bare Windows 11 with no specific driver deployment? If that works then add an install from cloud for the drivers and it will do them during a windows update cycle.

What happens if you stop the deployment during the initial MDT phase and clean the disk before starting again? I always thought the error you see is due to the machine having incomplete deployments. So - maybe the machine isn't 'clean'. SHIFT + F10 Diskpart Select Disk 0 Clean All or maybe Clean (cannot remember the correct instruction) Something like that. It will clean the disk for you and return you to the command prompt. You can then start building again.

Afternoon All, Those with Bromcom. When I upload a document to Student Details > Additional Learning Needs > ALN Document List - I go through the process and it is tagged as an ALN Document. However it does not then appear in the 'ALN Document List' pane. But... it does appear as an ALN tagged document in Student Details > Documents I feel I am missing something. Any ideas?

10 minutes? I usually get an autoresponder. Attendance Analytics are painfully slow to use. One issue we have is that when our Attendance Officer corrects something, the next day it has reverted back to what it was before the correction. A few weeks ago, our AO forward filled some pupils with / for present. This was an accident. We cannot seem to undo that. It has also written it all to our MIS (Bromcom). I've been called in to try and correct it. ClassCharts tell us we cannot erase those marks from the database, but we can change them. So we put them as '-' for 'No Mark' or whatever the code is. This data is saved. However - next day, they are back to normal and the replacement marks have not written to Bromcom. So we wonder if there is a circle of writing ClassCharts to Bromcom to ClassCharts to Bromcom etc. We've asked Bromcom/Wonde and ClassCharts to turn off attendance writing from the MIS to ClassCharts (effectively breaking the possible re-write circle). Have been told it cannot be done. ClassCharts have no idea. Wonde are in the middle and we cannot turn it off via their console. I've not spoken to Bromcom about it - they are my next port of call. On top of that - the notifications issue is a pain as parents are complaining (whilst checking the app is not in their mindset). I'm tired.

I think we are going to ditch them at the end of the contract. I like their software and the interface, but the support has been lacking lately. I'm almost tempted to pinpoint that this happened when they went to TES. It would be quicker for me to drive to their HQ in Fishguard rather than wait for a response. Communication and parent notifications are an essential part of the product and one which was sold to us. To not have this working is bad. Surely they know what is wrong. We've had to put a message out on our socials saying that there is an issue.

Quick question.... if we do the 'Target Version' as noted by @jthompson above, would update 23H2 to 25H2 is we let it and keep all the settings and software? Thanks G

Evening All - are any other schools getting increasingly annoyed and the speed of their support? Also - are we the only school to be having issues? The current three issues we have: 1. Parents are not receiving notifications. CS tell me this is a wider issue but have yet to come back to me with any further information. Looking at our read receipts - it is clearly still an issue as they are low 2. Changed marks are reverting back to what they were before they were changed. This is a strange one. 3. The Teacher app has gone from the Apple Store. No idea where it has gone - just not there any more. Our LEA has it turned off until their Legal/Compliance department have looked more into it. I think that's what they said.

Just thought I'd come back with an update on DeployR - it seems nice. After a few back and forths it works. Instructions are vague and there is not much external help on the web. However the support guys have been very patient with me and I have fed some changes back to them regarding the docs where things need to be clearer. Expensive it is - but there will be a community edition eventually.

Howdy everyone - we are considering moving our CleverTouch digital signage to TrilbyTV - which after seeing the demo at BETT I was impressed with. It is expensive, but our Headteacher likes it. So - the hardware - CleverTouch runs on Pico MK5 boxes - these are Android - not sure which version. Has anyone returned these to factory Android? It could save us some money on the hardware side of things. I have bought one Firestick to try it and Trilby TV it runs really nice although some of the formatting looked off compared to the windows app which I am also running. The question now is do I spent time trying/researching the MK5 boxes back to Android, or do I just buy 10 new firesticks and get them going. I suppose a final question - has anyone bothered with TrilbyTV? £1800 for unlimited screens.

I don't collect much - @ICTDirect_Dave handed me a thermal mug which was nice as we fanboy'ed over the Acorn 3020 and chatted about Acorn computers. Great to meet Vic at the Edugeek stand and catch up with @GrumbleDook again after losing touch over the years. Thanks for the pizza too. That was really appreciated. A few pens here and there. My Office staff asked me for Bromcom merch - so thanks to @Bromcom_John for sorting that out. Only thing missing there was a Bromcom notepad (I'm sure we had them last year). Have to say - Bromcom staff were excellent on the stand and I managed to work on some issues we had, whilst learning some new stuff. Had a nice pack of mints and a tattoo from the Affinity vending machine. Got another thermal cup from the TES stall. Saw one guy walking up to the Intel/HP stand and picking up 10 boxes of pens before giving them all to the kids he had with him. As for the kids - there did seem to be a lot of them there. I remember many years ago, students were not allowed. They took over the Canva stand - so I didn't bother going there. Agree with a lot of loot being hidden under desks. Newbie mistake - I made a newbie mistake (again). Got there at 9:30am and bought a coffee outside in the foyer. Then noticed how many stalls had coffee being served. Bromcom offered me one! Argh. Wasted £4.50 Still - had a nice day. Stayed again at the Premier Inn on Bath Road. Getting to the Excel Centre was relaxing. Bus to Heathrow T2/T3 and then the Elizabeth line for 50 mins. No hassle.

So - a failed attempt at following the DeployR docs on a fresh server. Gave up and started again. Deployed a fresh server and followed the videos that they provide. Spoke to 2PintSoftware and they advised following the videos for setup rather than following the docs. They have provided 3 videos. Video 1 done before leaving work today. Lots of little things to install and setup.

@Hamster - I've looked at it before and could never get it to work. So thought we'd try DeployR as a trial. Cannot get it to work though. All components are installed but DeployR is does not seem to be talking with the StifleR dashboard.

@AlphamaleZed - We're not quite there yet. Going to be 12-18 months before we go along the inTune path. We are testing and working on it. As for SCCM - never even considered it.

So in the search for an MDT replacement I managed to finally get a 30 day demo of DeployR. Has anyone else started testing? I've got it all installed but I'm sure there is a step missing which is stopping it working properly. The install instructions are lengthy with several components needed on your machine before you even get to install DeployR. Bit off a ball ache to be fair. Software is free for schools but push for a discount on the support. We are testing before plunging. If anyone else is having a go with the demo - please do get in touch.

Sigh - thanks everyone. I've sorted it. It was so simple in the end. So simple that it could be missed. For some reason the 3 pin DMX output was defaulting to Universe 2 instead of going into Universe 1. So we were doing everything right - but in the end a simple setting put everything into working order. I love learning new stuff - but that was frustrating. Case closed. Backup of the configuration taken. Lessons learnt. Really appreciate everyone who commented and gave advice on this issue.
