Hi Dave, Yeah. I don't choose the OU. Never needed that. They get dumped in a central one and I move them. Helps me keep an eye. Re-deployed ones just pick their old name and fit straight in. Driver selection is done and is great. I check the driver packs once every term to update them centrally. I also update the Windows version imported. Quite boring really. Just wanted something cool. Morning, I cannot attend BETT this year but have recently been considering a ClassVR set for use across the school. To avoid the sales speak (about how it's amazing) - I thought I'd ask here if anyone has purchased them for their school and how they find them? How much to they get used by departments/staff/pupils? Are they easy to use? Is it worth investing in a set? Honest reviews welcome. Cheers Gareth

Morning all, Having been an MDT advocate for many years and with it all just working away as it should. I'm wondering if anyone has any interesting tweaks, fun things that their MDT does to speed things up, add things in etc. MDT does what it says on the tin and works for us - but it's always fun to see what else we can do. Cheers Gareth

All sorted now. I manually deleted each one and re-imported them in. Gareth

The latest BIOS I am after.

HI @Boredguy - I feared as much. I just didn't want to go through 200 deleting them all. Guess that is what I will have to do. Gareth

Good afternoon All, Two questions for SIMS experts. I have bulk imported Year 9 email addresses using a CSV. They have all gone in as expected. HOWEVER, I now need to change them to me Main and Primary. However it seems I cannot to a bulk update of that. I've changed the settings when I re-import but it all fails and tells me the data has already been imported into SIMS. So - any idea how to bulk update? Or failing that - how to bulk update a group of email addresses to I can totally start again. Many thanks Gareth

Papercut Hive - The horror story you've been waiting for?
garethEds replied to TSheward_MM's topic in Cloud Services
Morning all, Jumping onto this thread as I am researching (again) Hive. How are things now since this last post in November 2022? Have things improved? Have they added more functionality? What is missing compared to MF? We ar having an issue where two suppliers will not work together. KM currently are the copier of choice but the LEA have taken a new contract with Kiocera. Apparently we cannot use one PaperCut server with two separate suppliers. Sounds stupid to me - but it's what I Have been told. Gareth -
Morning all, Does anyone use Edulink One with parents? How did you find it? We've used it with pupils since the lockdown but I am now researching the parental side of it all. Wanted to find experienced users before moving along with it. Many thanks Gareth

Morning all, I fear I am losing my memory. I cannot remember the url for WuFB. I'm sure it was https://portal.azure.com - but if so, my WuFB has gone somewhere. Can anyone remind me of the url? Gareth

HI @Steve21, Which GPO was this and may I ask what your settings are? Thanks Gareth

Afternoon All, Does anyone have a risk assessment document for their ICT Classrooms and Server Rooms that I could take a look/copy? Many thanks Gareth

You should try working in Wales!

Really not sure where to go with this. How easy is it to write a driver file?

Just finished watching Season 1 of Tokyo Vice on iPlayer. Enjoyed it all but the ending left it too open. Unsure if there is a second series on the cards.

Thanks everyone. Our software reseller is dealing with it for us. Gareth

Good morning all, Anyone else balked at the increase in cost for the PDQ set of tools? Our educational cost seems to have doubled. Having to re-consider now. I know you cannot put a price on ease of use, and it is great software but not sure we can afford it this year. Gareth

Morning all - did anyone ever have any luck with this? Our cutter is still running on a standalone XP machine. It's not good enough and we want to move forward with the cutter on the networked W10 machines (running Techsoft V3). It's shame that the laster cutter just will not work - it's in great condition. Works really well on XP. Serviced every year. G

Evening All, A bit naughty, but could anyone help me get the latest SPP for 380Gen9 ProLiant servers? Not sure why you need a contract for gen 9 but not gen10 - seems a bit unfair. It's this one: Software Details - Service Pack for ProLiant (Post-Production) | HPE Support Cheers - sorry it's cheeky and naughty. Gareth

Aaaarghghgh got it working but.... Windows Server 2022 SERVERDATACENTER not supported! FFS. Gareth

Not stupid at all. I'm sure I tried that but am trying again. Deploying a server should not be this hard. If all fails I'll just install from a normal boot USB and install that way Thanks pal. Gareth

Morning All, Can anyone help me with deploying Server 2022 via Intelligent Provisioning? I have configured IP on the server and copied the ISO to a USB stick. However IP does not see the ISO file at all. I assume copying hte ISO file means 'flat ISO'. As such I cannot get Windows to install. I'm probably missing something easy. Any help appreciated. Gareth

Thanks mate - I think we're okay now. We are using Cast4Me as the streaming application. It's working fine and across more than 4 locations without much lag. Running on my machine with 32Gb RAM and an i7. Hopefully be okay on Friday for the Wales game. Thanks everyone else too. Gareth
-
Has anyone used Cast4Me as an IPTV broadcast solution across their network? Cheers Gareth

Hi @nwkeene, Yes - VLC is playing fine from the WInTV10 app on the local PC and or 2 x remote PCs. The issue has raised it's head because we need 4 x remote PCs showing the Wales game on Friday. We have been advised by PSBA not to use the broadband network. I'm just trying to make it a better experience for everyone. Is there a similar software to DVBlast for Windows? Googling that now. Thanks for getting int ouch, Gareth
