When you also add the rapid adoption for the latest version of iOS that the platform has, exploits are generally squashed very quick, and since iOS is very sandbox and locked down, antivirus just is not needed for this OS, and at most it would want anti malware similar to that of X Protect thats built into Mac OS.

Wait for Capita to join the modern world and have SIMS 8 ready, instead of living in 1995, use RDP, get a fancy RDP system like Citrix or Parallels 2x, or use a VM. We went the Paralles 2x route for our 80 staff Macbooks, but a bit over kill for just 1 person. So guessing RDP is going to be the cheapest and cleanest route. The Mac RDP clients is nice, just do a 3 finger swipe left and right to jump between Mac and the RDP session.

If there was a 4" version i would have been tempted, i don't want a 4.7", i had the iPhone 6 and it was just too big. I will stick with my iPhone SE. This is why we are not excited about Windows 10 on the sites we support that run Windows. They can stay on 7. We moved to Windows 7 within a few weeks of it going gold back in 2010, so its not like we don't go for the latest and greatest quickly, but Windows 8 was utter cow dung, and Windows 10 seems just as bad, a polished turd is still a turd. The amount of people using Classic Shell on Windows 10 should scream that Microsoft still don't have it right, you should not need to install 3rd party GUI's to make the OS nice to use. Windows 10 just seems like a mess, and even if you get it all working fine, the next update changes so much because Windows is now a SaaS, it could break loads of things again. I hope the next 4 years of Windows 7 support is enough time to get the bulk over to Mac OS and iOS with iPads for the schools we have that are still on Windows.

I've got my Mac Mini, 2012 Macbook Air, 2015 Macbook Air, 2013 Macbook Pro, 2 Asus Windows 7 netbooks, 1 Acer Windows 7 netbook, 1 Acer XP Laptop, 1 Acer Windows 7 laptop, 1 Acer Linux laptop, 1 HP Windows 7 laptop, iPad Touch, iPad Mini 1st Gen, iPad Mini 2nd Gen, iPad Air 1st gen Am i the only one who just cannot chuck out usable working computers? I don't want to part with them but i can only really use 1 or 2 screens at once, and i know if Apple release new Macbooks in October with that touch bar i won't be able to resist .

NT4 use to be my favourite startup sounds, infact i would be torn between NT4 and Windows 2000 as to which was my favourite version of Windows. Its a shame as most of these sounds are from when Windows use to be enjoyable to use and made me feel warm and fuzzy. Now i avoid Windows like the plague, give me the uncluttered but functional GUI of Windows 2000 any day over this Windows 10 and 8 crap.

we do it how you are want to do it. i do have a post from earlier in the year where i replied to somebody else with the instructions but im at the airport at the moment on my mobile so a bit fiddly to find it. you can use a program called platypus to turn .sh scripts into apps then tell your mdm to run the app at user login. thats how we get it to work. search for my other posts and im sure you will find the post.

If they do require Windows specific add-ons client side i am going to push hard to dump SIMS if we have not made a decision to do so by the time they finally show something off, . The Head already thinks SIMS belongs in a 1990s admin office with a bulky CRT monitor.
