I had the same issue with IE8 on Vista 64, as soon as this was disabled worked straight away.

Yeah we have one you can have, P4 2.8 with hyper threading, came out working machines so should be fine but no guarentees as they are old, will you need heat sink and fan aswell? PM me and we can sort out the address and ill drop it in the post for you.

Hi, i was just about to ask the same question really. I have searched for this but not really had much joy. I want to be able to view a users email account so i can check thier emails that they have sent and recieved. I have full admin rights but cannot see a way of doing it other than: 1: Changing users password and logging onto the email as them 2: Sending copies of all future emails to another account but this can cause issues with space if many accounts (logginig) 3: Trying to restore a backup of the email to another user that i have set up, but can see many issues with this possibly not working Is there any other easier way of just looking at the emails? We are using exchange 2003 ICTNUT i have tried your post but it does not grant me access it just prompts me with the log on screen. Any ideas?

Yeah i use to use ashampoo version 6 as it was free but the later version does seem to be much improved.

I found this from the epson site, same as the link you put on here, tried it and very impressed with it, much better than the epson software and you are right the software would be for epdon printers only with their print cd. I found out aswell last night that this software Ashampoo® Burning Studio 9 ashampoo burning studio now incorporates disc printing software in the new version of their burning studio, have not tried it yet but does seem pretty good except i havnt had time to see if you can change the template for full faced printable cds as default is not full faced. I Use this software at home, very good and easy to use. It does have a large directory of printers installed already so you just choose your printer and no need to mess with settings to print on cd, choose or create your image and print. I use it loads at home and very good, downside is it is not free!! but try the trial software first, you can get about 2 months for free to test it. You can use epson print cd but that is a bit older software now and maybe harder to get old of. Hope this helps

i would recommend trying to get some senior staff to help you out and stop the behaviour of the kids, this will be a long and hard process but won't cost a penny. We have been doing this for the last year and has made so much difference it is un true. We have even billed parents when one of the pupils punched an lcd monitor and broke it but you will need support from deputy heads or even the head if possible. Once they realise there is a punishment for vandalism they soon stop especially if you take their internet access off them. hard one to do but worth it hope it helps

we had a few issues with this and for us it was a setting in the switch restricting mulicast session, as soon as we logged on and turned that off we ran normally and worked no issues.

Hi We use the netac usb fdd drives with the switch on them, well worth the money!! no hassle whatsoever, just create a build disk on them from the server and then away you go, very quick compared to usb floppy drives we used previous and does make life loads easier. We have tried in the past to use the hp tool to create a bootable usb disk and it did work (not as easily as the netac drives) but we found with these the data would corrupt after using the drive 3 or 4 times so you would have to rebuild again where as with the netacs we rebuilt the entire school last term (450 computers on cc3) and did not have a usb stick corrupt once. I advise to spend a little bit of cash on the rm website and buy some, they are about £13 each at the moment, just buy ten and away you go. Just trying the rm utility now to see how it goes.

Hi We have had this issue with a certain type of model: RM ASCEND 2030, very strange behaviour, we have locked most of it down to an overheating issue. What we have done to stop them black screening is: 1: check bios, default will be 60 degrees cpu temp from boot so have dropped to about 52 to make the fan work harder 2: In bio we also make sure plug and play os is set to yes (so the os can control your fan speed) 3: Re thermal pasted the cpu with some silver paste to help reduce the temp This has help on pretty much all the machines but on one we had to have a motherboard replaced as the cpu temp was getting to 100 degrees!! so faulty motherboard. When they do black screen we found that doing the hard reset (holding the button down) and then unplugging the power cable for about 5 minutes then plugging it back in and restarting the machine also worked but this was only a short term fix. As for you having the issue on 2 different types of rm pc's i would just double check the temperature on the rm one's (we have some very old rm one's but do not have this issue with them but they are so slow!) Then possibly try re pasting the cpu if needed or if they are in your warrenty i would call them out to look at it and see if some motherboards need replacing mpossibly. Hope this helps

Hi mate we have 3 sets of these and they work fine on our cc3 system. Have you logged on as a test teacher account and tested them or registered them? If you test it and it does not work it could be a permissions issue with the standard RM staff user as we have cloned that and make a few tweaks but nothing major. They should work piece of cake, we literally plugged them in it installed the drivers and then we register devices and you are then set. you can unplug and plug it back in and no issues or swapping accounts no issues. I have checked and we have no special file path rules for this at all. Try it Gray

Hi thanks for the help but I couldn't find anything at all. Looked for an ini file to edit but not there and it is trying to save on the C:my documents instead of the N:. I will keep chasing them up and see if they can help. Thank you

Hi Im trying to install: team learner 21st centuary learner Ilearn2 Irelate2 Ilearner I Think2 I have added the allow file access in management console for the software and it does run as a teacher or student but you have a profiler screen come up to start with and when they try to create or load a profile nothing happens but as systemadmin it allows you to go further as a popup screen appears saying "my documents is not a valid save location" I then choose my docs to save my profile in and it works fine. So it seems there is a permissions issue. Have you had this at all Sylv3r? Thanks in advance.

Has anyone ran this on a CC3 system? This is the worst software I have ever used!! I'm having permission issues with teachers and students but the alite support is awful!!

No it's not always the same machines and it can be very random, where i can view a machine at some point in the day and then later it comes up with the socket error? Should all be the same version as it was made into a MSI and rolled out to all workstations through the management console. I have also checked the package log of the machines that have the error and the package has installed correctly. So very random and very baffled, unfortunatley there is no reference to this on the MST site either.

Hi Thanks for a reply. I have checked (as this lan view was set up here before i started) and windows firewall is disabled through the management console (running on a CC3 network) and there are also program and port exceptions already made in the console for tight vnc so as far as I can see the firewall shouldn't be the problem. Any other ideas at all? Thanks

Hi Just wondering if anyone can help at all. We have been using Lan View 3 for a while but when we try to connect to some machines it can come up with an error: Error241 - CCoolSocket::Readbytes: Socket error while reading. Has anyone had this before at all? We are on a CC3 network running windows xp sp2 and we are only using this on the curriculum side of things. the problem is very random, it is not any specific stations and can fluctuate with it working on a station then not. Wierd. Thanks in advance.
