Sorry, default save location is working for me via group policy so that is fine, I just want shared drives hidden that they don't normally see is all, thanks

LOL, I want C: hidden and we have a P: (network software installs) These are hidden from students as they can use them (unknowingly) but do not need to browse them at all

Take it, it is not possible to change then? Previous software I have used there have been awesome ini files that I could modify for this but it looks like most of blender is python scripts to me.

Hi Hyperthread You can easily create your own MSI from any exe with installer 2 go wItem Installer Been using the freeware version myself and it is a great software. I would just be careful when you select the exe file as I have had it grab other items in there that should not be so I put the exe or files i need in a folder then select that to create the msi. Have a play, if you need help just give me a shout or I may have an MSI here i could send you. I am still having the issue with all users on the network seeing the drives when I only want selected drives visible for them.

Thanks for the MSI. I have been trying to package up for CC3 network, I have issues with all drives being visible for all users. Dont want this for the pupils ect, do you know if there is a way of hiding drives at all? I packaged up scratch IT and that had an ini file you could amend to do this, is there possibly something similar in blender? Thanks

anyone? been looking to package this on CC3 for a while but the mapped drives is the issue i keep facing. I was hoping in the newer release you would be able to configure this either in the software or in an ini file somewhere.

The support was pretty bad when i rang them myself, wasnt impressed with them at all

Just some information to let you know where I am at with it. We run a Frog VLE in school, and had signed up to the website, put in the codes for our software and then as they had said shared out the link from the webpage and put it on the vle. Then if any one clicked it you would get only a 2 minute preview of the software? not what i expected. If you are logged in to the site its fine. Called them and they said that the gateway is for staff only as students using it is breaking the terms and conditions, there is no scorm packs for these to put in your own vle either! Some schools create a student account and get the pupils to log in and use it that way but they will have access to order anything they want to the school, which we do not want to do. So for us now I have just told the teachers that it is a staff only area and they have to create their own accounts for it and not to allow students on to it. Why you cant just embed in to the vle is beyond me but Pearson dont want you to do it at all. Hope this helps dude

cool...just a quick check have you set the laptop/netbook hard drive to compatibility mode in the bios? I was having loads of issues until i changed this.

Here is a link to the latest drivers 1.0.0.41 not sure if you have used these. Atheros AR8131/AR8132 - WikiDrivers - Wiki-style resource and guide for device drivers Have you checked when it is building from the usb stick/floppy at first that it has picked up the correct driver? have you removed all other drivers from the build disk? You can manually add in drivers to the build area so if it is not in a hardware support pack it will pick these drivers on build so should correct the issue you are having, have you tried adding them in to the build area? There is a document on th RM site that helps with this TEC140677 have a look, i had to do it for some laptops we had in.

Hi GAMe I have managed to get our laptops on CC3 without too much hassle, surprisingly...I take it you are trying to build to a CC3 network? Have you tried adding the LAN driver into the rm build area and then rebuild the usb/floppy disk with those drivers in there? (or have you done this and the falling over as you said above)? Can you let me know the model numbers you have and I'll have a look see if i can find anything for you.

Have you tried putting the sata drive in compatability mode in the bios of the laptop? Never really done laptops myself until now but apparently this can cause issues.

Has any one tested this on a cc3 network at all? Does it work ok or cause issues with the wonderful management console?

my post was late!! as he said above reinstall on the correct drive then

sounds like a boot issue. when your computer boots up look at the screen and then it will show you what key to press to go into your bios, normally f2 or f12 (some times del key) depending on the mobo, in your bios find a section that says boot order then make sure you have your hdd drive as the first boot device this should then look to your hdd to boot from instead of the disk drive, let me know how you get on gray

I use image burn and ashampoo (depending what im burning) and both are great to use no issues here. (as long as you are using good media)

Hi all We have a RM CC3 network and I have installed MS office 2003 on here a long time ago but to give people the option we also have put on Open Office 3.1.1 aswell. After installing the Open Office the file association had changed from opening a word document (.doc) to open office now. This has happened for all MS office file formats. So by default all users now will automatically open files in open office and we want MS office to be the default. I have read quite a bit about using the assoc and ftype command line to sort this out. So we can make a start up script to run on each machine to correct this issue but being CC3 I didnt want to do this straight away as knowing CC3 this could break something else!! Just asking if anyone else has had this sort of issue and how they have solved it on a CC3 network, is there any other way of doing this on CC3 or is it a no go? Thanks in advance

More budget, red dwarf was always on a shoe string budget originaly and is by far the best of the dwarf. When they rereleased it on dvd with the special effects re done was sacrilege to the series!! Good news on the new series tho!! theres no kind of atmosphere, we're all alone more or less...

We use lanview 3 also, does the job nicely

I have had the same issues with the 9200 in windows 7, wierd one as my new 4850 has drivers off the bat. Sorry cant help you out been looking for a cheap agp card myself but ebay prices are stupid!
