MS language pack not writing in Ukrainian for students
LukeRowberry replied to sparker1977's topic in Windows 10
I'd probably start with a gpresult when logged in as both users and try and find the difference -
While not exactly fitting the brief I'd personally try and find a short video of something funny. A few minutes of laughing can make a massive difference to someones day. Maybe the miss-heard lyrics sketch by Peter Kay?

Very sad indeed. Out of interest does anyone know what happens to all of our money? And stamps I guess.

It can take a while but you should notice the free space increasing as it runs
-
Yep. You'll be surprised how much space it will free up

have you tried running garbage collection?

standardised branded backgrounds for online meetings always looks good too.

Inherited Network, How do I change the setup to meet our needs
LukeRowberry replied to JAB1a's topic in Wired Networks
If you are unsure about making a change that could effect your entire network I'd be looking for outside support. outside support company or even a local school/MAT that has the expertise in house. I get that they don't want to pay for support or even a new run but if that's the cost of having the kitchen system work then that's the cost. Either pay for it or don't have it. -
Depending on how many laptops you have you can add them individually to the gpo as a deny

Both pages load fine here so it's not their side

Cases of MDM as a gateway for hackers?
LukeRowberry replied to Colt's topic in Network and Classroom Management
In my opinion this comes down to who owns the data. If it’s the employer then it’s up to them how it is stored. If that’s on their storage local or cloud or on a laptop. If it is on a laptop then it should be an employer owned laptop. I’m sure we can all agree storing company data on a laptop with no backup isn’t likely to be a go-er. If you own the data then you can decide and should you wish to not enrol in mdm that’s your prerogative. -
If I was starting from scratch I'd be massively pushing for SaaS only

BT blocking all our emails.
LukeRowberry replied to Rob_D's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
Yes, this sounds like your emails are failing their dmarc policy. There are tools online where you can check your domain to see if it has dkim/spf enabled. -
I was taught (years ago) that there isn't such a thing as 'right of way'. It's just someone has priority if it is safe to move. Not sure if that's still relevant.

Good Luck!

Spamming FOI Requests

If you've got pupils in the video I'd have thought which ever service you use you'd want to be doing a DPIA before to make sure you've thought of everything.
-
Are the pupils in the video? If it's just the teacher then it's a lot less hassle

We use onenote but there are much better systems out there. I tend to document everything including 'little tweaks' and half finished projects. It's everything I would want if I went somewhere new and needed to hit the ground running on day 1.
