I thought FRS had been decommissioned after 2008r2, cant believe it was still being supported in server 2016, unless I am thinking of something else.

The college down the road from me have been 1 2 1 Chromebooks for about 4 years now and fully G Suite since 2009 ish. I don't work at the school but believe it works really well for them.

I might be wrong but I think powershell can only connect without TLS.

What do you mean by teams, have I missed something from Google?

I don't have any Chromebooks so may not be much use, but did you setup G Suite from scratch or did a third part company do it? I remember reading something similar and the third party still had control over parts of the system, which caused a few odd issues. Is the developer dashboard a completely separate system, not actually in Gsuite but a separate site. Does this help - https://developers.google.com/

The one thing that needs to be worked on in all vr games is moving around. Would be great if you could get some kind of 360 treadmill, so I could actually walk around the game but not my room. The thumb-stick movement makes me a bit giddy and the point and zoom movement only works for some types of games.

I don't have any chromebooks but there is a long list of addresses that need to be white-listed in order for Google to work properly.

So could I use outlook (desktop) to try and connect to the gmail account and then test for sending emails. If this would work (never used outlook) I could test from my laptop, both in school and outside. Would Outlook be a good test? Or is there another app / software for connecting to an email account.

Yes When I run, 'telnet smtp.gmail.com 587' it does connect. Is there a way of checking the account can actually send emails using telnet? I am assuming it's the FMS running on the main server that actually sends out the email on behalf of the client, so probably not. I did test this but still got the same error.

Until recently, FMS was able to send emails for things like BACS payments etc. At first I thought it must be a settings issue in G suite as Google are making some changes to how apps can send emails, but I have realised they are not making those changes until next month (February).I have checked every setting I can think of, disabled the server firewall, re entered the correct email account details etc. Luckily I look after a few other primary schools, so as another test I used the email settings from another school where FMS is able to send emails, but I still get the error 'connection to the specified mail server failed. Our internet connection, filtering and firewall are all run by our LA, so I logged a job with them. They have come back and said it can't be an issue their side. So what do I do next?

Until now, even though I have had devices need approval enabled, devices just seem to have been getting approved anyway. I just received an auto email saying that a Windows 10 device needs approval, but when I go and click approve a message box pops up saying device can't be approved. Any one else had this?

Do you have Google Vault? Although vault is not designed as a backup restore, you do have access to the files and can also set how long files should be kept. Another option is backing up the files. Cubebackup is very cheap and will backup emails, files etc onto a local pc, or there are a few cloud to cloud backup vendors.

Just wondering if there is a legal requirement for equipment to be kept secure. From next month it could theoretically be possible for every tom dick & Harry to access your network via any Windows 7 machines.
