In our 3 node cluster each server has 2 x 480GB SSDs with 6 1.8TB HDDs, all seems to work rather well with no performance issues. Ideally would have liked all SSD but over budget at the time

I have PXE booted the 3190s with Dell's own USB ethernet adapter without any issues.

Just in the process of upgrading with CRBCunninghams. The Impact software is indeed very old and outdated, we've had it in for roughly 15 years. We are moving to their new offering, Fusion. Agree with the comments about support. We have had times where it has been hard to reach them but this was a few years back, recently they have been alot better. The systems works fine and support needed is few and far between, will see if this stays the same once the upgrade is done.

Yes, That is how ours are wired in. We have done similar with the trunking running behind the panels also so no wires are visible

Our Dell 3190s are the 64GB eMMC units. I thought great, these can be upgraded with a M.2 drive only to open one and find that the M.2 slot is not even soldered onto the motherboard where the pin headers are. I mean why not solder the slot on the board? That being said, the screen quality and colour seems pretty decent on them and the HP 255s we got.

Sorry to hijack, I see you have a dahua system, do you have issues with smartpss asking for admin credentials when loading the software as a standard user? I cannot get it to run without it asking for credentials of an admin of the local PC.

We have had some HP 255 G7's secured by the DfE and have found ExpressVPN installed. Any idea to why this would be installed? Not had any Wi-Fi issues reported though.

I'd use this as an opportunity to step back from it also. I did 7 years ago when ours was outsourced to a professional company. In all honesty it was for the best especially with the ever changing web standards, responsive layouts etc.

Never had any issues with Hyper-V either. Can't justify the cost of licensing VMware here. We get our DC licenses as part of our MS OVS-ES, last lot were just a bit over £300 each

We have 3 R740s all with local storage in a cluster using storage spaces direct. All backed up to another server with storage in a seperate location using Veeam. Simple to setup, no hardware raid. Never had any issues yet.

Was the utility manufacturer specific? I have this issue on a number of Windows 10 1903 machines and the same Regkey is giving a dodgy entry. I've been trying all the usual solutions with renaming folders, resetting windows update etc but nothing seems to work. The machines do seem to update from Microsoft direct though without issue, just not through WSUS.

Yea they made the year 1 content free along with some from year 2. To play the latest stuff you need to purchase the expansions (Forsaken/Shadowkeep).

FYI I've had a phone call today discussing some of the issues with the filter esp Youtube. They have escalated to the design team regarding the safe=active tag so awaiting their answer.
