  1. Any more detail in event viewer?
  2. Do you have a 2nd dc? Is that functional? Sure the restored dc needs to update from working dc in non-auth restore. Never done it myself so only going on knowledge
  3. Article i was just reading, lol https://www.taonetworks.co.uk/blog/fttc-cisco-vdsl-router/
  4. A bit more googling, looks like the cisco Cisco 887VA may do the job. Dont think i need a router as utm can support this.
  5. Thats good, was hoping you was going to say it wasnt over 2 weeks old! Do a system state restore before anything, then fill in the gaps after. Do you not have a secondary dhcp you could just replicate back if needed?
  6. How old is your system state backup? I assume it would be restored with that
  7. Any cisco/enterprise level devices that would work?
  8. Its a standard ISP issue cheapo modem/router/WAP all in one. I think as this is still going over phone line in house i would need to use PPPoA? Looked around for stand alone modems but can only find adsl2 ones capable of up to 24mbps, not vdsl 48mbps like i need.
  9. Currently redoing my home network. My current setup. ISP supplied home hub > sophos UTM firewall > switch > WAP I want to replace the locked down home hub with something i have complete control over. I have a standard 48mbps VDSL home connection (fibre to cab, not to house). The sophos utm supports PPPoA and PPPoE on WAN port. Do i need a modem/router or just a modem? Any recommendations? Preferably without wifi as wifi is on internal network Thanks
  10. As far as im aware, all apart from static ip should be all in the system state. I would just restore to a clean install.
  11. Clean install, restore system state
  12. Just a note if it comes to it. As far as im aware it is never a good idea to restore dc snapshots due to syncing issues. Always do a system state restore if you cant get original vm going.
  13. Must be possible by identifying resolution in registry
  14. Have you tryed doing same backup task locally on the host with WSB? A reinstall of agent would be my 1st port of call. Also make sure the credentials used for the agent are a member of local admins on the problem server
  15. Is it only the 1 protected server effected? Do other servers backup fine? Have you completely removed and reinstalled the agent on the effected server? Can you do a system state backup on the effected host? If not, have you tried doing it locally on the host using wsb?

    SSD in server

We used hp enterprise ssd 400gb disks in raid 10 for database VMs. Very fast and designed for high usage unlike desktop versions. Comes with a price tag though. Could perform a sims sql backup of around 15gb in around 1min.
  17. Friend has one, he is very pleased with it except smashing the screen within one week of having it. Think it was quite hard and expensive to get repaired. Im personally not an android fan though.
  18. Double check on dc that it isn't still getting from host. Mine was, even after disabling integration services. Think command to check is w32tm /query /status
  19. Setting virtual dc's as the time server for a domain can cause things to go slowly out of sync. DC as time server > hyper-v host gets time from virtual dc > hyper-v host updates virtual dc time through vm services > repeat. This process adds a second here and there to original time and slowly things get out of sync. I have a diagram on how i set ours up to avoid this. Can supply if needed
  20. Probably the most likely method.
  21. If they have got one password it is probably either; 1,Sniffed on wire if no https was used 2, used beef xss, cloned website and used phishing to send user to malicious site to record credentials. 3, keystroke logger? 4, cookie fixation and reset users password. 5, through other means (shoulder surfing, social engineering etc) If more than one password was recovered, could have been a server targeted attack. Never used HAP so dont know if attacks like sql injection are possible?
  22. As 3s-gtech said, the led should be illuminate amber on failed disk. If your not sure what raid config is, the hp raid array utility will tell you. If its not booting, what error are you getting? You should be able to get into raid array utility before os boot. Usually a 'F' key.

    Alerts System

Simple vb gui to create and run bat file?
  24. I have recently bought a 2015 macbook pro running el capitan. The laptop boots to the login screen very fast, but once it is at the login screen, it is very laggy when trying to enter password. Can take a few minutes to be able to enter a complete password. ( lags after every few characters, causing me to miss type password). Once i have entered password in correct, login times are fast and there is no lag during normal use. Also, returning to login screen from sleep is also fine. Becoming a pain when starting laptop, just keeping in sleep mode now due to this. Any ideas?
  25. Visio here too
