Unfortunately, all I have see is the ones that can peel off easy, and the ones that flake when you try and take them off. If we need to label anything, we just use a dymo type label sticker.

The item you are entering into AD is the recovery code, not the password. The laptop can be unlocked with your password as long as there isn't some weird and wonderful problem. That is what the recovery code is for.

I hate to think how many Tizzy applications they had... we had two at the Primary, which they always called Tizzy... never knew if it's Tizzy's Toolbox or Tizzy's First Tools... took me sometime to work out they were different products.

Why not? They are only kids... what's the worst they can do? Seriously though, yeah... that would be crazy. The later version does work in UAC mode without needed Administrative access. Must have been a few changes they made between a 0.0.0.1 or 0.0.1 update then. You could always try and see if they would be so kind to give you an update, some companies such as 2Simple have always been very helpful in the past with compatibility issues and provided newer installers, never know, this company may be too.

Just tried out Tizzy's First Tools 1.0.2.1 (or version 1.0.3.0 if you believe the exe) on a Windows 10 1709 box which is apparently up to date at the Primary, appears to be working fine here.

I don't think it's a cheeky request, it could help a lot of people out... but sometimes it can be hard to follow why people have done things in a certain way. I've only converted the Primary to Windows 10 at present, but if it's any help I can export and anonymise the GPOs when I have a moment, as well as detail the items I do to change update the Windows 10 build. Might not be all that you want, but I guess it would be a base line.

Yes, had to warn the staff that it's now going End of Life by 2020 and due to security reasons, Google Chrome, etc. are not enabling it by default. Informed the users via e-mail to enable a Flash site, do the following: To the left of the web address, click Lock or Info button. To the right of "Flash," click the Arrows. Choose Always allow on this site. Reload the page.

Haven't had an issue myself, but a certainly worth a try. Another very sensible idea. Also worth testing on a few known troublemakers though.

Good point about non-administrative user account, although if he has UAC on then it would most likely be restricted anyway (that's the reason why I use SRP under User Settings, which works for two schools). Though I think the thing here which is the major step is actually Restricting the files by default and testing. If you're allowing them by default but disable a path it *should* work, but it is better to Restrict by default, and only open up certain areas you want them to do run items from, which helps against any Potentially Unwanted Applications.

User Protection.zip Additional Note: I apply this to standard domain user accounts, but you could place a group policy on the Computer Settings instead, if for example you have any local non-admin accounts (why?! ) that you want to block.
