Only just found out about it as after your post I had a look at Help -> About to notice there was an update. My top bar looks weird now, blah I hate change, but I will get used to it if it's faster.

So only 308 years then?

Go on... you know you want to. Wait... when was this added into the Smiley list?

It's a hard one, Internet Explorer will be around for a few years yet as Windows 7 is still supported until 2020 I believe. Still, new functionality will be aimed more at Edge as Windows 10 is adopted more and more. Still saying that I have seen more people develop sites for Chrome and due to compatibility issues with some of the services the Primary use, I have set Chrome as default.

School accounts are also accessible via Internet Banking, which in most places is a requirement. Rather keep traffic like that protected as much as possible.

First points of call for me is usually @ICTDirect_Dave, @VeryPC, Insight, Mis-oh. Might be worth trying Stone as well as they weren't bad last time I looked for iPads, so may be worth it for other tablets.

I see what you did there.

Obviously that was just a jest ... though may I suggest that Adastral Park ('where world leading innovation happens') is a little ahead of the game when it comes to connections? The only issue I would have with machines off site, is... I would not trust it on a single ADSL or a basic FTTC connection for speed or reliability. It was bad enough all the complaints I had to hear for being on ADSL alone... twice... and both times it wasn't in ITs hands.

A money making opportunity for you @matt40k. Right, hands up those with slow rural connections first.

Shouldn't it be Misgone now? Yeah, I never trusted the Joe Bloggs either.

To fix just Settings, the following command appears to work when run as Admin... Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {If ($_.Name -eq "windows.immersivecontrolpanel") {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}} -

If I did on this one, the script has fixed them now, as it goes through all programs. I will check the other computer later. Strangely though I did have a problem with Microsoft Edge not showing an icon on the taskbar on both of the PCs... which I fixed using the Advanced options in the Apps list on Settings. Also Sticky Notes was refusing to work after a while on this one, but I repaired that in the same way... So if there is a problem, it doesn't seem to apply right away, but possibly after an update? -

Many thanks @v01d! Just tried this out and worked on one of the machines. I notice it goes through every app, so I am going to see if I can narrow down the fix to just the Settings app before using it on the other. -
What is it with people wanting the Mac version all of a sudden? https://drive.google.com/open?id=1th1-LZktHVHJNrW4vxRFJtVCPtW7Q9W5

Ok, strange one... I've come across an issue on 2 machines now on 1709. One upgraded, the other a new install. Clicking the Windows button and selecting the Settings Cog doesn't launch the Settings app... but clicking Notifications and All Settings works, and so does right clicking the taskbar and selecting Taskbar Settings. Any one have any ideas?

This... that's what I thought as well.
