  1. Don't worry, for those of us that do have staff bulletins, the staff hardly read them.
  2. Microsoft usually provide these updates later in the day, as today is meant to be the deployment day, I would assume sometime after 5pm our time, but hopefully sooner.
  3. Where is it? Where is it? Where is it? Where is it? Where is it? Where is it? Where is it? Oh wait, the US isn't up yet.
  4. Happy Birthday @failnator, hope you have a fantastic day!
  5. Ok, so reading through this thread and corrections, the summary so far is that others use: Azure Backup Backup to another School or Site Gigasoft Google Drive Services that no one has used, but are ideas none the less are: Amazon Glacier OneDrive (but there maybe a file size limit?) Any more for any more?
  6. I've just been asked to look at Online Backup Solutions for our data as an extra point of redundancy. I was wondering what companies fellow Edugeekers use in their schools and recommend any caveats I should be aware of?
  7. Personally, I wouldn't want to get anything that is not an SSD now for the Operating System at least. Especially if you are moving to Windows 10 soon.
  8. Updated 15/09/17 (Updated suppliers list in document).
  9. Yeah update KB4011165 has been expired, so that might be why. I've got 2 machines that installed it before it was expired at the Primary, one of them would have to be a machine they run reports on... and uninstalling didn't help for me though.
  10. I think it might be hard for you to find him.
  11. Have a great time @bald_pig, I'll unfortunately be dog sitting but I am sure many others would love to celebrate there with you.
  12. What I love is that the dates shown in the diary past the March 2018 entries (when they change to 2108) are correct for that part of 2108 as well as being correct for 2018.
  13. I might have while drunk...
  14. KB4011140 https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/4011140/october-3-2017-update-for-word-2016-kb4011140
  15. Sounds like it. I have tried on Windows 7... never got it working right. As for Windows 10, if I remember correctly it just uses BitLocker anyway.
  16. So kind of you all to Whisper Sweet nothings into my ear...
  17. Exciting times, thanks for the update, look forward to the new features.
  18. Either you get them to type in a password, or you get them to plug in a USB. Personally I went with the password option for the non-TPM machines.
  19. Is there an echo in here?
  20. You can use Bitlocker still, you just have to enable the policy to have it work with a password instead of TPM. See the following guide, in the section 'How to ensure you can turn on BitLocker without TPM'. https://www.windowscentral.com/how-use-bitlocker-encryption-windows-10
  21. 13 days to go until the old £1 coin expires... https://days.to/15-october/2017
  22. Have you added the server(s) that host the printers into the GPO? Administrative Template -> Printers -> Package Point and print - Approved servers We needed to do that recently.
  23. Word to the wise though, some websites don't seem to function correctly if they have SSL inspection enabled. For example, ones I have listed here Sites requiring bypass to SSL Interception - Blogs - EduGeek.net
