Just in case anyone is wondering, Edugeek Discord appears to be down. Not sure if other Discords are affected, as no update on
-
This is how they were referenced from a straight out export: The only one that worked was The Microsoft Edge App. Amended to the location for the redirect start menu and it's fine.
-
Installing v1709 the shortcuts are still locked down to the relative start menu path for me.

I don't know about the school, but next time I think about getting a gaming PC, I'll have to get a quote.

Last time I wrote a cheque, was 3 and a half years ago. It was to change the ownership information for my dog which all had to be done via the post and required a cheque. I then also shredded it as I found out they did take card payments. I believe I have only used my cheque book 5 times in total... I know in error one of my parents tried to use it once as well, thinking it was theirs... luckily they realised their mistake when writing it... glad they did, as banks don't seem to be very good at checking signatures...

Interesting... how does that work? Refurbished licenses or something?

If I am reading that correctly... 4 and 5 are just for testing are they not?

[ltsb, 1607] Prevent staff turning off bitlocker
DJ-1701 replied to kennysarmy's topic in Windows 10
Out of interest, what level of access do your teachers have on their laptops, are they administrators? If not, it might be something for everyone to ensure they look at. -
A flu jab? Actually protecting you from the correct type of flu for once? I don't believe you.

It's ok, they have a sheet of paper up saying 'Have you tried turning it off and on again? You're welcome.'

(Another) CC4 to Vanilla thread
DJ-1701 replied to foofighterjim's topic in Network and Classroom Management
Hyper-V Server is just a very cut down, no frills, Windows Server Core interface, needing the use of Hyper-V Manager on a PC to configure the VMs. To my knowledge, with Hyper-V, you can create any number of machines on it... it's just that you have to make sure your OS licensing (i.e. Windows Server) is correct. It used to be with Windows 2012 R2 that you could by one copy, and have up to 2 instances on a server. That meant a few of us installed the free Hyper-V Server and installed 2 VMs. Those of us that wanted unlimited copies, purchased Windows 2012 R2 Data Center. However, licensing changed for Windows 2016, hopefully someone here can explain how that works. -

I think there is a mistake there... -Hyper-V by itself is free. -Windows Server is the item you may want to purchase Datacentre for unlimited VMs on the box. -

Even if it didn't, we could say it's the Game of the Year 2017 that you have played. I don't think I have played many modern games that came out in 2017, but the best game that I played in 2017 was a visual novel called The House of Fata Morgana, great story line. First game I have actually posted a review on Steam for.

Your connection is not Brexit... we mean private: Tory party lets security cert expire https://www.theregister.co.uk/2018/01/08/tory_party_website_lacks_secure_connection/ I guess what do we expect from the party that wants to get rid of end to end encryption...

Exa Network (ISP) and Agora
DJ-1701 replied to Kitkatninja's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
Well, I don't have the Agora, but one of the schools I work at does have Exa and Stormshield with SSL filtering. If I want to test if SSL filtering is blocking something, I usually add in the old proxy server information rather than transparent. If it then work. that usually gives me an indication it's an SSL filtering issue.
