If there is a universal unique factory reset username and password, that's fine then.
-
Cool Not so cool if you are the user and forgot the password.

What makes you think I'm not the HT?

[tv show] Pratchett's Watch series coming to the BBC
DJ-1701 replied to Dos_Box's topic in TV & Movies
Given that there an infinite number of possibilities and therefore an infinite number of worlds... What does this have to do with Pratchett's Watch? -
3 days and no ideas? What do I pay the Internet for? I'm gonna talk to BT and you are all going to get into so much trouble for not helping me out!
-
Is that all?
-
I assume you won that, rather than got it as a freebie?
-
Personally I was a little disappointed with it... but will see what next week brings.
-
Ok, so for some weird and wonderful reason, on a few of the machines we have had issues with Windows Store not showing... sometimes other apps, but this is the main one. After trying lots of reinstall commands, they have failed, I think mostly because for some reason the Microsoft.WindowStore folder/folders aren't in C:\Program Files\WindowsApps and even coping them over and trying to run the install from the AppManifest.xml file fails. I have been able to install the Store using a Microsoft.WindowsStore_12001.1001.113.0_neutral___8wekyb3d8bbwe.AppxBundle file... but it only works for that user... not for all users as is the default behaviour for new builds. Also it doesn't help that profiles are wiped on logoff. Anyone got any ideas of how to get this back for all users?
-
-
Largely redundant... but I could do with some as a few computers at the Primary are on desks which are a bit too shiny for the optical mice.
-
Wow that link didn't let me down.
-
-
I don't suppose I could convince you to write something on one and pop one in for me?

Correct way to remove old ADMX templates from \Policies\PolicyDefinitions
DJ-1701 replied to kennysarmy's topic in Windows 10

Well better to be more protective than less, especially since there were some users who reported getting directed to other websites such as Google and other who said the site didn't accept their Capita passwords. I wonder if they have a service to remove the address... yet shouldn't they be clearing any inactive accounts anyway?
-
If it's taking you to a website that Capita has never used with you before, and the certificate on that website is just a Let's Encrypt one with no company detail visible, wouldn't first assessment be possible phishing attempt. Makes sense to act first on worst case scenario until you can prove otherwise... didn't help that some information on who is sites was redacted although others did show Capita.
-
My line manager also got an e-mail, even though the schools has longer been covered by Capita support for SIMS for a couple of years. So that would suggest holding mass information when it's no longer relevant and not clearing out old details which they should be doing.
