    Our school is currently using MyConcern for safeguarding reporting, we are looking at a new MIS which might include a safeguarding module and our DSP has asked how we would take all of data from MyConcern and transfer it over to- I can’t find any information about migration online

    Good morning We've been using both Office 365 and GSuite (Google Classroom and Drive mainly) for about 5 years with login synced using AD > Azure/O365 > G Suite. We are moving all of our O365 email over to the Welsh Government Hwb system which is fine and comes with its own sync with Google, but so that staff can retain access to archived content on Google I'd like to remove the AD Sync and I can manage their passwords manually if needed. I'm worried that if I simply remove the AD > Azure/O365 > G Suite then all of my users will be lost and obviously dont want this. I'm hoping by removing this setting in Azure then Google will juse exist with the current users and data. I've been searching but cant find anything to tell me what migth happen, does anyone have any experience of this? Thanks Ieuan

    HI, I hope someone can help me - I've read all I can on this and seem to have followed correctly but something isnt right. We want to change the times of each period in our school day - same number of period and order just reducing reg by 10mins first thing and adding 5mins to P4 and 5. We thought wed done this over the summer - but when we saw the new timetable the times hadnt changed. We have a full backup if required. Now I've got a new cycle in NT6 and defined the times and the full timetable is shceduled as I want I've completed DATA-Export timetable cycle to SQL and this has run - to start tomorrow 13/9/2020 I've applied the timetable in Sims.net and chosen the new cycle - which Sims can see and chosen to apply from 13/9/2020 I thought all had gone correctly however my timeline doesnt display my timetable after 11/9/2020, cover doesnt display any periods, but when I search for timetables on 14/9/2020 and each staff memebers is correct. It seems as thought the timetable hasnt applied - but I've tried again and it doesnt change. Can anyone help? Thanks

    I've had a look on our SOLUS and that this patch "After applying the patch Individual Reports will be displayed in alphabetical order when previewing or printing" This seems to be the opposite of what I want? In any case I can't deploy as this patch says not suitable for my system.

    I hope someone can help -or let me know if this is only happening on my system or if its changed for everyone We have been struggling with this all week, while printing Individual Reports for the whole school, in the past we were able to select 'ALL YEARS' to see the list of the whole school, then sort by REG to group the pupils by registration classes and then PRINT - this would print them in the order listed on the list, giving us class groups which could be distributed easily. Since the latest update we are unable to do this - although we still select all pupils and can sort on the lest by REG, regardless of the order on the list reports are printed in ALPHABETICAL Order. I've tried this for different groups and with different orders and it still always prints in alphabetical order. We have found two work arounds which are both very time consuming 1) Select each REG class and print class by class - this takes a long time as each class has to process separately and then print 2) Print the whole school alphabetically and then MANUALLY sort into reg class - again very time consuming. Has anyone else noticed this?

    Sims INTouch https://www.capita-sims.co.uk/products-and-services/sims-intouch does alot more than simply forwarding the Emergency alerts to email, and we think well worth the extra money

    Since results day we’ve been traveling through results as always and took a look at the detailed report in the the tools-pi reports section of sims and cane across something very odd - pupils with negative points values for qualifications. There are 5 out of 180 pupils this year, but it seems there have been pupils each year for the last few with the same thing but no one noticed. They are all for qualifications which are entered manually by adding a QAN code. The odd thing is that other pupils who were entered at the same time have a normal, positive number of points for that qualification. Has anyone else seen this or can understand what’s going on?

    Hi I'm aware there are other threads on here from a few years ago but wondered if there was any up to date opinions of timetabling software. I'm just about to take over timetabling in my school and have been dipping my hand in since next years timetable has proven to be very complicated and Nova T6 has really struggled to meet the needs of our curriculum plan. I understand it might be coming to the end of its life, but who knows when. Does anyone use other software - I've seen mention of timetabler - but previous posts mention issues with importing into Sims and manually having to do this - unless in the past few years they've improved this. Any advice greatly received in preparation for next year! Thanks

    Hi With responsibility for all things Data in school, I keep being asked for all the information we hold on a pupil - particularly in Sims. I wondered how anyone else approached this - or if Sims had an answer - currently I generate reports on lesson monitor, reports from assessment manager, reports from the behavior management module (which I have designed), run a report on exclusions, can run a report on initiatives, run a report on SEN and now include a report on Interventions - the list goes on, but am always conscious I could easily be missing something and someone pointed out today that we could get a Freedom Of Information request and how would we go about doing this most effectively. I wish Sims would have a single button - not dissimilar to the 'School Report' function but for an individual student - that would be amazing! Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

    Hi Just picked up on this thread, as I've been tinkering with Power Bi in school and have produced some interesting for Cover Analysis and Behaviour/Attendance monitoring, but wondered if anyone had managed to do anything interesting for academic progress - levels or grades? Also wonderd if anyone was interested in sharing the dashboards there have created, as I'm trying to decide on a set-up to share with other school leaders within my school?

    Currently we use Sims for our detentions as a whole school. We use the attendance drop down to note if they have 'attended' or 'not attended' else they remain 'Not recorded'. We'd like to add in a choice for 'Absent from School' as this is becoming increasing an issue - not that the pupil is failing to attend but that they are given a detention for the next day and then they are not in school and although a new detention is allocated for them, currently we are logging that they did 'not attend' just the same a pupil who should have attended since they were in school, but chose not to - which requires additional sanctions. I've tried looking on 'Look ups' but cant see this as something to change - can anyone help? Thanks

    Hi I'm trying to run a report to identify and when and who made the latest changes to a comment box on a Sims.net marksheet. I can do it for individual results on a marksheet by right-clicking and selecting result history and seeing who the 'operator' is, however I've been asked to do this in bulk for about 1000 records so i was trying to do this in a report. I can create report on an aspect to show the latest result date and the number of results however I cannot see how to produce who entered it, I can see the aspect OWNER - but generally that's me as I created the aspect, I was expecting a 'recorded by' which is what we get with Conduct reports, or 'Operator' as they are referred to in the history of the marksheet.

    Hi I've been playing around with Sims Discover for a while and have created quite a few graphs of various things, particular looking at assessment KPI measures for KS3 and KS4. But wondered if any has any examples of graphs they've created that they can describe or screenshot so I can see how far people have taken it? I can find plenty of how-to booklets online but no examples of what people have done I'm willing to share back, obviously

    My school is using Sims assessment manager to track pupils and the marksheets are setup and working great, with templates per subject and marksheets per class. I have been asked by Subject leaders if it is possible to display the pupils class when viewing the whole year group - i have found that a column exists for this, however when added it is always blank - how fdo I get the pupils class to appear? Thanks

    Hi I've been using a report which counts the number of behaviour concerns on sims for all pupils per week - where we have to set the date range when running the report. This year we have changed to allocate different numbers of points for different behaviour types and would like to create a report which does the same job however i cannot see how to generate the number of behaviour points given between two dates. I am aware i can output all of the concerns and their indivudal points and then run a pivot on this, but would like it instantly for all staff on a report Can anyone help? Ieuan

    Hi Is it possible to change the default order of a marksheet in Assessment Manager? I've been asked by our SLT whether its possible to make all of the FSM pupils apear at the top of all teachers marksheets by default? I know individually we can sort a marksheet to make the FSM pupils at the top, however when i close the marksheet and reopen it the order reverts back to alphabetical. In addition they have asked if it is possible to colour the rows with FSM pupils in to make them stand out even more - as far as I can see its not possible to colour a row at all ( I know columns can be coloured) Any ideas - or confirmation that these things aren't possible? Thanks

    Hi all I've been creating individual reports in Sims for a while now, and adding the behaviour and achievement scores, however my Head Teacher has recently come and asked if we could possibly have the current net score - the achievements minus the behaviour concerns listed. I can't see a field to have this automatically added to the report and the only way I can see to do it would be to run a report of these values, perform the calculation in Excel and then import them to a new aspect, which is alot less efficient than the field automatically staying up to date as it is currently. Anyone got any thoughts on how else I could do this? Thanks
